Ai Tenchi Muyo: The Complete Series - Shorts [Blu-ray]

The anime's story is fine, and most of the characters are likable. They could not get the original voice actress for Ayeka, but I actually like the voice actress in this one more than the original! The animation quality and style are absolutely amazing, and I hope they can continue this art style for the future series.Yes the episodes are about 7 minutes long, with 2 minutes of those being the opening and closing credits. There is a story about a time rift and a princess trying to be brought back to her own timeline. The problem is, it cuts from the high school, to feudal japan, after certain episodes. It took me a bit to realize the story was about a time displacement issue. At the very end, I finally figured it out. If it was full 20-25min episodes, it would have been much easier to follow.

This contains shorts 50 episodes which was sponsored by the city of Takahashi, Okayama, Japan in order to promote tourism for the city where Tenchi Muyo creator Masaki Kajishima was born and raised. Which was his main inspiration of his franchise setting.Its a shame that the series is bit random but it tells a good story Tenchi becomes a is a Student Teacher dealing with a situation at a All Girls High School who is trying to help Teenage girls but very much gets into some wacky situations.Its in very good Quality, Its a shame that its not a full episodes series it does tell a interesting story, It contains both English and Japanese audio tracks. It doesn't have any Documentaries only has just trailers for the Fumimation line up that is all if your a fan of Tenchi Muyo Franchise its good to collect it.

I don't see the point in making such short episodes but whatever. I found the series enjoyable and the new animation style is nice. I liked that they brought back most of the original voice actors to play the main cast. (was sad to find that washu was voiced by someone else this time) I really hope they eventually dub the new Ryo Oh Ki episodes.This blu ray copy also comes with a digital code, however like the other funimation digital codes the only places you can redeem it at is ultra violet and funimation.

I am a huge Tenchi fan and have only just started the series but am still enjoying revisiting the characters again. However I am not a fan of the 4 minute episodes it is hard to get a good grasp on the story and once I start to get into it suddenly the credits are playing AGAIN. At least there is no opening credits as well otherwise the credits would take longer then the episode.

Arrived on time and intact! Thought their choice of vocal actors was a little odd, but glad to see the Return of Patrea Burchard! Hurray!!

The 4 minute episode format doesn't work well on Amazon Prime Video. They needed a condensed version and this is not that.I like Tenchi Muyo, but this particular incarnation isn't very good. It's still nice to see old characters in new stuff.

It was good to have a new tenchi to watch after all of this time. Bring on the next series.

episodes extremly short, but was likeable

I enjoy all tenchi muyo dvd's this one also but the storys in this one are only about 5 minutes long not the regular 20mins most serious have.

Not a bad anime.I have to get the whole series now.
