## Description

High quality 2.5" acrylic dome, with 3/8" flange. Great for many uses. Could be used as a pet window in a gate, a kid window in a playground, a cover to protect a surveillance camera (may possibly interfere with motion detection), a cover to protect an all-sky camera, a cover for a skylight (if sealed sufficiently), and anything else you can think of. Note that the shape is half a sphere and that two put together could make a nearly perfect whole sphere.

Review: Perfect viewing window for catwalk box - Bought this to cover a “window” on a wall mounted cat box/platform. We installed steps and boxes/hammocks on the wall of our living room for our cats, and one of the tallest boxes at the end has sight windows cut into it. Within minutes, our kittens realized they could jump from this window onto a hanging lamp shade which was not sturdy enough to hold the weight of the kittens. This dome window works perfectly, true to size for what we needed and it allows our cats to still poke their heads through the sight window and look around, but keeps them from skydiving out of it. The lip flange has predrilled holes that were wide enough to fit typical screws without cracking the plastic, and the flange is about half an inch thick, which was wide enough for us to get a good attachment for our use. I also like the quality of the plastic, it’s very clear and doesn’t have any haziness fogging up the view through it. Easy to install, great price, and looks like it was supposed to be a part of the cat box the entire time.
Review: Favorite lounge bowl for our cat - I cut a hole in a 5/8 plywood just enough for this bowl to fit in. I used a cardboard sheet to create my template. I reduced the diameter during first cut and reduced it slowly until the bowl fit tight. What this did was, I didnt have to screw the bowl down as that seemed to the point of failure for others. And I didnt want any sharp stuff jutting out on the surface. Used a couple of heavy duty L brackets from hardware store and mounted below the window. Between the cat tree and this bowl, our teen kitten spends most of his time in this bowl - watching outside the window or even sleeping. Until now, the bowl hasnt come loose, despite our kitty doing all sort of acrobatic stuff on/in it. If it does, Im planning to use some sort of acrylic safe adhesive to bond the lipping to the plywood. Best purchase ever!

**Q: I need two 18".  Do you have more?**
A: Update: At the time this question was asked, I had decided to stop selling the 18" domes because of the cost involved in shipping and storage. However, due to customer demand, I have decided to relist, taking those costs into account. If I am able to sell at a decent rate, then I will continue to have the 18" domes available.

**Q: Hi Looking for a dome that is 10 inches in depth and 10 inches in width. Do you have any like that?**
A: I'm afraid I do not. All of my domes are half as deep as they are wide.

**Q: I'm thinking of using a dome for a door window in the trailer camper that I'm building. What do you think?**
A: I think it could possibly work, but there are plenty of things you would want to take into account. One of the main things you want to make sure of is that you had a nice tight seal. Another thing is that it would not provide as good of insulation as a double-pane window, but it may provide better insulation than a single pane window. You'll also want to take into account that acrylic can get small scratches fairly easily, although these may be able to be buffed out with the right equipment. There are most likely other things to be taken into account, but those are at least some quick things to think about. The one time I used these domes myself was for 3 windows in a play fort, and it worked nicely for that.

**Q: Can i stack two inside each other to within an 1/8 inch to crest a thermal break?**
A: You would get a thermal edge with inside the dome, since they are the exact same size and do not stack flat against each other. However the outer flat mounting ridges, would have some separation.
