Absolutely….I’ve hung mine outside on a patio column.

Q: The thermometer is not showing the correct temperature. How do you adjust it to read properly?

On the back you will see I thing with 2 screws ,do NOT take the screws out,, but also on that is arrows, then around the edges you will see or feel groove dial,, turn for either up or down. Use a mercury thermometer not your phone to set correct temp !! Sorry I couldn’t get video.

Q: One review says it did not come with a stake. Another review says they didn't use the stake. Is it possible to mount this to a garden stake?

I think you could mount this on a Garden Stake. I have had my owl on my patio for a long time telling me the temperature and I love it! I live in Ontario, California, where the weather ranges from very HOT to very COLD!

Q: Anyone order the Cardinal? Do you love it? Decent quality for the price point?

The quality, (FOR THE PRICE) is OK but it is not well engineered. The worst part is that it does not sit tight on the wall. The mechanism that holds the controls that makes the thermometer work sticks out about 1/4" beyond flush with the back of the body, therefor the bird sits about 1/4" away from the wall. I tried to bend the body back some but the metal is too thin, afraid it might break! I left the old thermometer up, which we know is accurate, and the new Cardinal shows the same temps. That's good. We like it, it is attractive and it is easy to see just how HOT it is today.
