I am REALLY impressed with this ceiling fan!
Edit 5/27/2022: The second fan I installed was defective. We spent a couple of hours trying to get it balanced and we could not get it balanced no matter what we tried. Also, the second fan did not spin as fast as the first fan I installed. So, I returned it. I just installed the second fan and it worked flawlessly. It was balanced AND it was as powerful as the first. So... If you get one of these fans that you cannot get balanced, or if the performance is poor. just return it for a replacement like I did. I am TOTALLY satisified with both of these fans. Initial review: I really am impressed with these ceiling fans. I bought two and just finished installing the first one. These are being installed in my garage. I wanted a low profile fans with lights. These fans really do measure just over 11" from the ceiling, including the light fixture. Very low profile. Here is what I like: 1) The fan doesn't wobble. Not at all. (it does come with a balancing kit that I did not need) 2) The fan is quiet. 3) The fan moves quite a bit of air. 4) It looks great. I have the black side down on the blades, but the dark brown looks good too. 5) The low profile, even with the light fixture. 6) Good quality. The fit and finish are excellent. 7) Very good instructions. 8) Easy installation. What isn't great: 1) The light doesn't put out much light at all with the included bulb. That is fine with me, as I have additional shop lights. However, if you needed this to be a primary light source, you might not be happy with it. The way the fixture is made, even with a brighter bulb, there is always going to be a dark area on one side of the shade because of the way the bulb is mounted sideways in the fixture. That being said, it suits my needs. I am going to purchase some higher wattage A15 LED bulbs and give them a try. The bulb that comes with this fan says it is a 60 watt equivalent. There is NO WAY that this is equivalent to a 60 watt bulb. Not a big deal, just want you to know. I am VERY satisfied with this purchase. The price is great too! My garage gets very hot in the summer. I use box fans to try to cool it off in the evenings. Even with the main garage door and the side door open and using 4 to 5 box fans, I can never really cool if down. I think that I won't have a problem now. This fan moves a lot of air, and I am installing two of them. I should be fine this summer. I replaced two ceiling lamps with these fans. I purchased two "Hubbell Raco 936 4 in. Round Retro-Brace Ceiling Fan-Rated Support" kits, as the original electrical boxes are definitely not strong enough for a ceiling fan. These fan kits worked great with these fans. Finally, I am really impressed with how light weight these fans are. They are very strong, but the fan blades and accessories are very light weight. I have other ceiling fans that I installed myself that weigh twice as much and feel half as sturdy, if that makes any sense. Bottom line: the next time I need a ceiling fan, I am going to purchase this same fan again. Hope this helps.

Very Impressed
I just wanted a basic ceiling fan to replace my old $150 Hunter which was noisy and had developed balance issues because humidity had swollen the edges of the pressed-wood blades. This fan is so much better!! It is beautiful and all components seem to be of excellent quality. The blades are made of solid wood, it is well balanced , runs super smoothly and it's so quiet I almost cannot tell that it"s on. The switches work well and my daughter says the light is bright enough for studying and she likes the fact that the dome diffuses the light to perfectly fill the room while adding some yellow warmth to the LED bulb. Assembly difficulty was about average and it definitely helped to have an extra set of hands to help hold components in place during attachment. One tip (important and not in the instructions): Prior to attaching the light assembly to the motor/blade assembly make sure to align the pull-chain pass-through holes in the light assembly with where the pull-chains exit the motor assembly. It only aligns one way and if not correct the pull-chains will encounter too much resistance to operate effectively. Overall I'm very impressed with the quality and quietness of this fan - especially when compared to my previous much more expensive Hunter - and I would definitely recommend this one to a friend.

Easy to install !!!!!
This is the easiest ceiling fan Ive ever installed. My favorite part is the part where the fan can hang from one end of the bracket, so you can easily connect the wires without needing help. Other fans I've installed I've had to use my head and shoulder or some weird method to connect the wires before I could attach the fan lol. Amazing price and looks great once put up

Good value for the price point, nice and quiet
I've always bought ceiling fans from the local box store & always gone with brand name (Hampton, etc.), but the prices of these mfgr's low-end line have become unrealisticly high. So, here's a low-profile fan from overseas (where they're all made anyway) at a reasonable price point. WORKS LIKE A CHARM :-) Perfectly balanced out of the box and very quiet. Moves air *reasonably* well, though I think I'd like a more aggressive angle on the blades to move a bit more air (at the cost of a bit more noise, which I prefer). I *really* like the low profile mount and lamp - it's fully 6" more flush to the ceiling than the one it replaces, which matters because our HDMI projector is ceiling mounted - I don't miss the shadow. ONLY CON - Half-Star off - is the LED light is rather dim at the recommended wattage... I suspect a higher watt LED *could* be used, but contrary to the mfgr's recommendations. Installation is easily within DIY range. ONE CAVEAT... MAKE SURE YOU SLIP MOUNT'S BRUSHED NICKEL COVER ONTO THE ASSEMBLY *BEFORE* YOU INSTALL THE BLADES!!! Grrr. Rookie mistake. Can't speak to longevity, but it's been on continuously since I installed it two weeks ago, so past the initial break-in period. FOR VALUE & SERVICEABILITY - RECOMMENDED.

Quiet, easy to install
I wanted a fan that wouldn't take up too much vertical space since I'm only working with 8 feet floor to ceiling. This hugs nicely and it's a simple yet interesting design overall. I opted to put the light dome in but you can opt to cap the cove just under the motor and save 4-5 inches. The included LED is fine for general purposes but I'd like to put in bulb with a softer shade of white, closer to amber. I bought this like new in the original box for $50, which was nearly half off the list price at the time I bought it. My main area is small, ~150 sq ft, and it is nice and cool in here. I can open two doors to make the space closer to 400 sq ft but have yet to try that. I can't think of anything to nitpick about other than you need to be somewhat handy to install a ceiling fan. This was my first installation. I don't know if other fans are breezier to assemble. This one needed to be assembled in a particular order so the components would fit, and if you are bad at reading instructions like me, you might find yourself installing the blade holders too early. The hugger design being compact might lend itself more to "nested" components that can only be installed sequentially. The motor cover can't go on before the motor obviously but you get what I mean. Whatever, read the instructions and have a great time :) I measured the fan noise with a decibel meter called Sound Meter for Android from directly underneath, which my bed is not, and got roughly +15 decibels (db) with the fan on high. Back in bed, 10 feet back from the fan, it doesn't register any increase on the meter but you can hear soothing grey tones. If you live in a noisy area, you may not hear it at all. I live in a basement in the boondocks and it's "quiet park" quiet, 41 db. Final note, I installed the mounting bracket on an existing outlet box that had only been holding a light fixture. There is some wobble on high but it's only noticeable in the pull-chains that hang below the light dome on the fan. Pro tip there: the knobs on the chains can be removed from their supplemental chain and attached to the existing length coming out of the wiring cove to save 6 inches of unnecessary dangle.

Excellent Inexpensive Fan - So Happy!
First time to install a fan. The first one went up just under an hour and a half and the second went up the next day without looking at directions in 50 minutes. (That includes time to take the old fans down.) Very impressed with the ease and speed of installation. Super quiet and no need for balancing. Supports independent light and fan control wiring (and has the option to not include the light if needed). Three speeds provides excellent controls and is capable of moving air really well - high speed can be felt in the far corners of our room (2 fans in a 16' x 24'). One fan blade was noticably nicked on the brown wooden side. We're using the black matte side, so it didn't matter, but had this been our intended color it would have been a letdown. All other blades were a-ok on both sides. The light IS a bit dim compared to most overheads, but we typically only use lamps in this room anyways. It's a calm living space, not a space for tasked activities. We'll actually use these overheads more now since they're not blinding as with the previous fans. (This is all preference and how the space is used.) The chains provided were equal length. We wanted the fan chain to be lower so it's obvious which chain is which, so the lengths we're modified. This isn't an issue though since we would have shortened both chains anyways. So happy with this purchase!

Nice fans
Nice looking fans, handyman hung them easy enough and they work like expected.

Quiet
This was easy for me to install and the color matches the picture well. It looks very nice for such a good price. The pulls are easier to reach than most ceiling fans and I didn't need to buy any extension for them. When it is on, it is quiet and the circulating air feels great. The cover that goes over the lightbulb isn't clear and is more frosted, and because of that, the light is dimmer than I would like as this fan has a limit on the wattage you can put in.
