Decent fit & buoyancy.
Don't know why they are asking for warmth rating...these are SHORTS, so they are not going to be "warm" and is the whole reason I got them: The lakes get HOT in the summer. So, they are doing what I want--giving me a sense of "security" and buoyancy in the water as I open-water swim, but not roasting me, bc even a short-john gets too hot during the dog-days of July & August. Buy them according to your weight and you will be fine. They are basically unisex. I am female and got the "men's" as the women's were "sold out." I suppose if a woman has larger than average hips (I don't) then a women's cut might be better. Drawstring is nice, and these do not ride too low, as I have heard some do. The 5/3 neoprene combo is great for open water and still able to easily breast stroke kick; probably not what you want in the pool, but I don't use them there. Thinner neoprene would probably be cooler, but defeat the buoyancy issue. Kinda bummed, though: They took $10 off LITERALLY the day after I got these in the mail. Oh well.

started great!, then they started to show wear
I love these shorts! they float me as i'm swimming 'downhill'. Excellent for body position. I've worn them for 20 swims or so, and they started tearing on the waist at the seam. I'm going to try and glue and sew them, to see if I can stop the tear from getting bigger. Otherwise, they have been great!I should also say, I have owned many full Triathlon wetsuits, and I know how to care for them. This is just an unfortunate seam location I think.

Great product but fragile
I bought the shorts expecting to gain some seconds on my pace, for my surprise the gain was much higher than I expected (8s/100m). It really helps to create consciouness about your body position while swimming. After some weeks I noticed that I am more aware of my hips and improved my technique while swimming without the shorts. TheThe reason that it won't receive 5 stars is because some of the glue from junctions of the shorts got separated on my second use.

Titanium
I’ve had both knees replaced but swam in college so still love to. This floats me much better than pull buoys. Titanium not very floaty. Contributes to successful aging

They are exactly what I needed.
They made it possible for me to add lap swimming to my workout options. They are well-made, and I look like they will last a long time. Selecting the right size can be challenging. Based on my experience, I suggest ordering one size larger that the chart suggests. I am a 5'4" (164 cm) and I weigh 127 lb (57 kg), so I ordered size s\Small. They were uncomfortably tight, so I replaced them with Medium, which turned out to be just right for me.!

Good product
I use this product with a wetsuit top for many activities, wakeskating, diving, surfing basically instead of a spring suite. Wetsuit shorts are great for warmth without being hot in 72 to 65 degree water. They are wind resistant which is great for wakeskating or surfing where the wind can be an issue. Fit was as expected, quality after a month of use at about 20 sessions wear is non existent (like new still).

Rash/Rub protection when you don’t want a wetsuit
I bought this essentially as a rash guard (aka “summer sack” prevention) for surfing. I’m a big guy (6’3”, 213lbs) and I ride wide boards 23” - 23 1/2” that are pretty tough on your inner thighs when “trunking it” in the Warm water in the summer. I wanted some length in the thighs to act as a buffer underneath my surf trunks. These worked perfectly. Maybe a little thicker than ideal, but not by much. If you are getting rubbed raw from sitting on your board between waves in your trunks, and don’t want to overheat in a wetsuit, but these!

Happy
About what I expected, gave me extra bounacy in hips. Felt the size chart was a little off definitely opt for next size up if you’re unsure.
