These things work like shocks, they are made to a certain spec ...
Do not buy aftermarket active motor mounts. Learn from my mistake. I tried to save money and bought an Anchor active motor mount. I kid you not, it broke at aprox 100 miles causing it to drop and fall to the rubber bumper built onto it causing engine droning and vibration. When it comes to these mounts there is a reason why the Honda originals are more expensive and its not because of the name brand. These things work like shocks, they are made to a certain spec to support the weight and movement of the engine and use precision quality meterials. Take a look at the picture I posted of the Anchor aftermarket motor mount I took out. You can see that not even the rubber is high quality. I don't think the rubber withstood the high temps of the engine as the rubber is brittle to the touch. The rubber is meant to keep contaminants out. The inside blew and you can see fluid has managed to escape from the inside. The metal and protective paint is also inferior. There is rust already forming on it. I compaired it to tbe original I still had lying around this one looks older than the oem I took out originally. Currently installed new front and rear Honda original active motor mounts on my Odyssey. They were allot of money $1000 for the pair and had my mechanic install them for $300 labor. Working great so far and have no doubt the will last a pretty good while. The front one that I replaced was still good and was holding the engine to the right height. So I'm impressed with the honda originals. I've been thinking one of the reasons why the rear motor mounts tend to fail more often than the fronts is do to excessive heat. Front one gets cooled easier as its on the front near the radiator. Heat from the engine transfering to the mount might be the culprit for premature failure with these mounts. It's possible the newer part number superceding the older part number for this oem must have been improved to account for excessive heat and therefor premature failure.

Buy genuine
You can use an aftermarket parts on almost all of your repairs and maintenance needs. This is not one of them. I have tried to use the mounts from Autozone, Oreilly, Amazon and eBay. They are not good, not even close. Not only they don’t perform as it should be, they don’t last long, AT ALL. If you replace them yourself, it will cost you time, and many times. If you pay to have them replaced, you’ll end up paying multiple times. The costs of the Honda parts hurt, but it will keep you from the headache for a while.

Big ++++ Difference Noted After Changing All Mounts
What a difference the OEM engine mount makes. I replaced all 5 mounts with OEM Genuine Honda parts and car is driving like new. I bought the car w/all broken mounts and did not really know how actually it drives. Once I replaced these mounts I truly felt the difference and car is running so smooth it felt like new car. Since my Odyssey has only 110K miles I decided to go with OEM, it is very pricey but I know for sure it will last for long time and did not want to deal repairing again. I am enjoying the rid now and expect to drive the car until 200k miles before switching. Very happy and definitely suggest OEM part for mounts rather than aftermarket.

Genuine Honda
It's genuine Honda, and that is what you need for this project. Price is high, but hopefully good for another 100k miles.

There is a difference with the OEM Honda mounts. This review explains the difference.
Buy the genuine Honda item. It makes a huge difference. The Honda active engine mounts contain a voice coil like you will find inside a speaker. By passing an electrical current through this coil, the engine mounts counteract the vibration of the engine. The aftermarket units either have no connector and a solid mount or they have a resistor to fool the ECU into thinking the voice coil and the system are working as they should. I know the mounts are expensive, but if you aren't going to buy Honda mounts, just buy the stock mounts for $60 and change the bracket on the engine for $40. All other aftermarket mounts will give worse performance than the stock mounts. I looked at all of them and none include a voice coil. Change the front and the rear at the same time or the old one will quickly destroy the new one. The side/middle bracket is cheap so it should be changed too.
