My first MMA glove
Looks and feels good. I bought the regular sized ones which fits me well. I have small hands measuring 7.5 inch around the knuckles. One thing though, the padding is very hard. Not sure if my sparring opponents would appreciate the impact. Just need to control/go easier on the punches. OK for grappling.

pros & con, detailed & informative review/breakdown
Literally the best mma gloves I have ever owned. The padding is phenomenal! I believe the padding is IMF technology (csi & ringside patented tech) So soft and pillowy your partner will think they got hit by a soft summer cloud. This will allow you to spar harder (still dont go muts though) without hurting your partner thus getting more out of your training session. The built in D ring on the wrist closure allows for excellent wrist support in fact I believe they have better wrist support than any other mma glove on the market (yes even better than the hayabusa tokushu series mma gloves) tje wrist support really comes in handy when striking. They feel durable and the leather is Deffinatley high quality it is soft and supple. The stitching and construction is consitant throughout the design of the glove and the open palm is very well designed to be comfortable and effective (you'ed be surprised how many manufacturers fail in designing this part of the glove well but csi did a good job). The only negative with this glove is that all that amazing padding can be to much when grappling as the bubble that protects your knuckles and hand can be to big and make difficult to escape your hand from certain places and holds, this is the sole reason i did not give them 5 stars. But great for working ground and pound. All in all these are great and would recommend to anyone. I hope you found this review helpful and informative. Good luck, train hard, have fun, and never give up. Oss!

Great!
Review based on an XL as well as a L for this glove.AESTHETICS - Both gloves are beautifully constructed, no loose stitches or scuffs/marks. It's not full leather because it looks like the black segmented part of the back of the glove is made out of synthetic leather. The leather on the padding and on the finger loops feel nice and soft. I feel that they will be durable but it's only been a week so bare with me on that. Also the color scheme and layout are gorgeous. Nothing looks tacky or poorly printed designed. An absolute pleasure to flash around at the gym. Drawing the "ooo's" and "awe's" of the gym mates especially feel nice haha.FIT - The XL's fit my hand comfortably mind you my hands aren't huge. I got the XL because I wanted to wear handwraps with them. The only ones I can wear with them though are probably 120's... comfortably anyways. The L's felt a little too tight around the fingers. They weren't uncomfortable but I did notice the tightness.Dimensions of my hands to help with sizing:-8.5" circumference around the knuckles [Palm up]-3.5" width of knuckles [Palm up]-3" circumference of index finger-3" & 2/8th's the length of the middle fingerFUNCTIONALITY - Both do their job very well, which is safely simulate an MMA ruled match. The pre-curved foam make it relatively easy to strike and to clinch with but is a bit cumbersome while grappling especially when going for subs. But I've adapted it to my game and instead hug rather than grab the limb I'm attacking. Chokes and getting underhooks are a bit troublesome as well.I will admit though that the padding for the XL's compared to the L's is different(it could be that I got different batches). The XL's felt soft but firm at the same time, think Gel padding. While the L's were soft as well but more of a springy bouncier padding. Still would rather get hit by these than a TapOut glove lol.OVERALL: Would definitely buy these gloves in bulk if there's a good price for them. Very happy with my purchase :DPROS:-Does as described-soft but firm padding-as functional as it is aesthetically pleasingCONS:-Size chart needs to move down a peg[XL's should be L's, L's should be Reg, etc.]-Inconsistent padding [probably got 2 different batches. still love em though!]

Are you going to wear wraps?
I purchased two pairs of these gloves. The red set is sized regular and the white set is sized large. I based the size of my first purchase on a set of Combat Sports MMA gloves (similar to the ones used in the UFC). The old set being a size regular I never wore wraps. The point is when I purchased my original pair my hands and wrist did not hurt. Today, 10 years later, it is a different story. The pain is more in my wrist that hands but I still need the support of wearing wraps. I did not think of this until after I ordered a regular sized pair of the Red Max Strike from Combat Sports. If you look at the pictures the main curved padding rides high on my knuckles cause a rub which is uncomfortable. And you will also be able to tell that with the wraps, I am not able to fit in them very comfortably. Now, without warps, they are fine. However, I gave them to my 8 year old son and the fit him marvelously. Better is the large sized white set.As you can tell from the pictures it is a more comfortable all around fit. SO, if you are going to wear wraps get the next size up. (For disclosure: I based the durability rating of the gloves off of my experience with my original glove purchase ten years ago. The are still in great shape after ten years of use. I expect the Max Strike to have the same long term durability.)

Good gloves need to be broken in
Work fine fit fine, the people who say they dont fit well probably dont use them alot as they were a bit odd going on at first and it was difficult to open my hands completley, thats probably just because its fresh, high quality leather. Been sparring with them for a few months now and they work perfectly, leather had loosened up and my hand rests the way it should as well as being able to open them completley. Only downside is the padding is very thick (I think more than CRNR gloves) so I cant finish with an ezikiel choke and it can also make rear nakeds, armtriangles, etc. more difficult compared to a UFC glove, but with a glove like this it should be expected and your partner will appreciate the extra padding.
