Exactly what it was supposed to be.
Love the ribbon so much better than traditional white ribbon. Looks great on my tool boxes and even use it on my mailbox.

Well packaged; good product.
I like white print on black tape. This brand, while still a "knock off" is well packaged and first labels seem totally fine -- tricky as it's the narrow 6mm (1/4") tapes.

Great product
I don’t see a difference between these and the original that came with my p-touch. Great product.

Hasn't been as reliable as name-brand
I've bought a number of these third-party label cartridges over the years, but quality seems to have gone downhill. I've had three problems with recent, brand new cartridges:1. The tape jammed just before the exit of the cartridge, causing the sticky part of the label to contact the thin thermal layer. Once this happened, it was impossible for me to un-jam it - the cartridge was unusable, and I had to throw it away.2. Another cartridge was out of alignment, causing text to print at an angle.3. The cartridges have tiny plastic pins which stick out, and the label maker uses these to detect the presence and the type of cartridge. A brand new cartridge wasn't being recognized by my label maker, and then I discovered that one of the pins on the cartridge had broken off. I might be able to glue on a replacement, but I shouldn't have to do this.I've had good luck with these generics in the past, but I think today's lesson is that when I need reliability, I'll go with name brand labels instead. And if I do use generics again, I need to verify they work ASAP so I don't fall outside the 30-day return window.

Love the Black with white print. So modern & sleek looking vs. the black print on white.

Great for labeling electronics or other black items
I use these for labeling my electronics like drones and ham radio gear that have black cases. The white print on black looks way better than the traditional black on white labels. Adhesion is good. Quality is good.

Looks good; top layer peels away easily
I figured I had nothing to lose by trying these. The good news is that the print quality looks the same as a real Brother TZ tape. The bad news is that the print layer does not adhere very well. You can easily do the following test yourself to prove that what I say is correct. Print a label using Brother tape, and then print the same label using this tape. Remove the backing and stick both samples onto a surface. Then, take your fingernail and peel each one off that surface. What you'll find is that the Brother tape peels off with both the top layer (where the text is located) and the bottom layer (the substrate containing the adhesive) coming off together. Unfortunately, this cheap tape comes off in two pieces, with the text layer coming off in a mess, ruining the tape. The Brother tape can be re-stuck, something I do once in awhile when I don't get the label aligned very well. So, the adhesive that sticks the label to the surface works and sticks about the same, but the other adhesive which keeps the letters on the substrate is weak.I may try a few tests to see if I can "set" the adhesive on this cheap tape by hitting it briefly and carefully with a heat gun.So, for casual use, these tapes will probably be fine, but if you are putting labels on something that will be in your pocket (like a phone or camera) or will be in any other environment where the label will be touched frequently, I don't think you'll like this product as much as the real Brother labels.
