ChacoMen's Zcloud Sandal

Fit and quality and comfort.
I will be a lifetime owner of these sandals!I had admired my then boyfriend wore them and I said they looked nice. Two days later I had a pair and wore them for four years! Comfort and fit were great. I’ve got size 13 feet, so it’s hard to find a sandal that doesn’t look like a boat on me.I always get compliments on them and can throw them in my suitcase when I travel. I can wear them all day and not have a problem. The only reason I bought a new pair is because my puppy got a hold of em. These are worth every penny!

Great Sandal - Better for use on pavement than off trail
The Z cloud is a nice alternative to the regular Chaco Z. The light layer of cushioning on the deck of the shoe where the sole of your foot meets the deck of the sandal makes for a more comfortable experience when walking on pavement, or a treadmill, or if you just have a sensitive spot on the bottom of your foot. One caveat though - is that if you wear these hiking off trail where there are an abundance of small pebbles the pebbles have more of a tendency to get stuck between the sole of your foot and the deck of the sandal because the pebbles more easily adhere to layer of soft cushioning so you have to stop, loosen the strap, and remove the pebble whereas with the normal Chaco Z off trail you can normally just lift your foot to take the pressure off and shake the pebble loose so it falls. Overall, another great sandal from Chaco. I just thought this explanation might help if you were trying to decide which sandal was better suited for your particular intended use.

First pair of Chacos
I've worn Teva sandals for about ten years, but lately I do more stuff in and around water than I used to. This has revealed a real weakness in the Tevas (that really didn't exist with the first pair I owned)...they're dangerous when they get wet. I feel like I'm on ice skates, and this was the reason for my switch to the Chacos. I find them much improved over the Tevas when wet. Turns out the Chacos have a much more substantial sole that I (personally) find better to hike rough trails in. There are rewards to be had with the Chacos once you get used to how to tighten the straps for a custom fit...it really isn't intuitive, and I almost gave up on it at first, but you can figure it out. Another issue is the strap that hangs and drags on the ground...you can't cut the strap (warranty) and if you tie a knot as some youtubers have recommended, you can't loosen the strap enough to make it easy to get the things on and off. I cut the label off the strap, doubled it over once at the end and used hot glue to secure it. Shortened the strap just enough that it doesn't annoy me any longer and all other functions remain intact.

Great first impression!!!
Very comfortable! It’s hard for me to find shoes or sandals that are comfortable since I’ve had many broken bones in my feet over the years, but these are great! Hopefully they keep the comfort and support they have when new for at least a year, that’s a good length for me. Also it’s hard to find shoes for me since I typically wear a size 16w but I got these in a 15m after a family member said they ordered down a size, and they fit perfectly. My wife on the other hand got hers at her normal size of 8 and they fit her perfectly so I would say these are true to fit overall.

Good old Chacos
I've put thousands of miles on my old, clunky Chacos and, except for stains and mild fraying, they are still good. They out-lasted two pairs of Tevas. I bought a new pair purely for n new color pattern to dress up a bit. They fit my extra-wide feet, are slightly lighter, and appear to be of comparable quality to the old pair. Time and 10,000 miles will reveal if the quality is the same.On functionality: Chacos are far better than flip-flops, one-strap sandals, and other sandal designs for outdoor scrambling on muddy cross-slopes and rocky, slippery river ford.

I opted to get this shoe without the toe strap and I am more than glad that I did
I've always been a fan of chaco's and this is my second pair as my first wore out. I opted to get this shoe without the toe strap and I am more than glad that I did. The small strap that goes over the big toe constantly tightened as I walked, cutting off the circulation, and from what my friends have told me, this seems to be a common problem. The reason I am knocking off one star, is because if I don't make sure the front strap is loosed enough before I start walking, it will inevitably begin to tighten enough to cause discomfort. But this issue isn't a major problem for me at all.

Super Glad I Tried These
I was a long-time Birkenstock fan, but after my last pair wore out much sooner than I had hoped, I was looking to try something different. At a friend's recommendation I bought some Chaco's, and I'm so glad I did! They are really comfortable and supportive of my feet, and I wear them everywhere. I bought the solid black, so I can easily wear them with skirts or dresses and wear them to work, too.

Rafting the Colorado River in Chacos!
Bought the family matching Chaco sandals for our rafting trip down the Colorado River! We wore them all day everyday in the water and for strenuous hikes up steep canyons! They have a great fit and never rubbed to irritated anyones feet. My kids got Chaco tans and still wear their Chaco's on a daily basis because they are soooo comfortable. Great with bare feet or socks in colder weather!
