It’s worth noting, plants need darkness for the roots- especially the root foods you may want to watch grow. While some (radish, beets, sweet potato) can handle a bit of sun (never potatoes or carrots!) Unrequested Advice: I ordered black chalkboard removable contact paper to cover & label the plant seeds. The intent is to allow the plants to grow in darkness. It also allows little ones to peek to watch the marvelous underground world of root crops! The chalkboard feature of the covering serves as seed labels.
