Great walking / casual shoes
Most comfortable shoes, good fit, light weight, nice look. Well made.

I Love the zero drop!
A great transitional shoe to move away from elevated heel or neutral support and to strengthen arches and feet.I wore Brooks for years that offered release after injury but, found just walking around my house barefoot on weekends instigated the return of plantar fasciitis discomfort. I researched more about transitioning slowly into a zero drop shoe and am very satisfied with my results in these Altra. After wearing these daily for just a few weeks my arches are stronger and going barefoot is no longer uncomfortable.

Comfortable long lasting shoe - wide toe box
The only shoes that don’t irritate my Morton’s neuroma. Flexible shoe with enough cushion but not too much. Great for everyday running and long distance training. I typically get 450-500 miles out of these shoes before I retire them.

Great for running!
This is my first time trying these. Before these I used New Balance that were dis- continued, Brooks that didnt seem to have enough cushion, and Hoka that had TOO much cushion. What I love about these is that the shoe is shaped like a foot in the front and because of this my toes dont rub against the sneaker as I run. I normally get sneakers with wide toe box, but these have the room plus the shape! I have not gotten a blister or black toe since using these. They have just the right cushion without feeling spongy. Its feels like you are running barefoot only with a bit of cushion. I have been able to improve my running speed and distance with these , and even placed in my perspective age category in my last race (I’m 60). True to size , I normally wear 9.5 in New Balance and Hoka so I got 9.5 in these and they fit perfectly. Give em a try . Color:I love this colir in came in as I try to get sneakers with a lil pop color.

Very comfortable!
These are the best sneakers I have found! I have arthritis and other painful conditions in my feet and these allows me to do more on my feet. They are airy and very lightweight. The only problem I had was that the shoelaces were not long enough after assisting them to my foot and it was hard to find shoelaces that worked! Also a little pricey.

Helped my foot pain
The toe box looks like a clown shoe but it did help my foot pain.I wore out my first pair (wearing almost daily) in less than 6 months, which is frustrating but also what the podiatrist told me to expect.I wish they didn't have the white trim at the bottom, it shows so much dirt.

Different than the Escalante 3
I love Altra shoes. They’re a great zero drop option with a wide toe box that doesn’t look like a “barefoot” shoe. However, this shoe is not black. It’s like a blueish gray color. So far they feel comfy. I had the Escalante 3 and loved them. They were a true black and had a squishier sole which I loved. I wish Altra would stop messing with the Escalante design or at least made their older versions available.

Great!
These are the best Altras. The back is great. No weird pointy horn sticking out the back like other Altras (why? WHY?!?). They look cute with skirts because they aren't bulky (as good as a running shoe can). I'm on my second pair and am hoping they don't change the design (unless they make it even more minimalist looking, which would be great). Altras don't last more than a few months, but I do log at least 15k steps every day chasing kids.
