High Quality TV that's more Budget Friendly
I bought this TV after some serious deep diving on multiple websites and YouTube. The QM7K is a bit more budget friendly than buying an equivalent Samsung or Sony, which at the time I purchased this, were going for at least $1000 more than this. For a TV under $2000, this was perfect. It's huge and has very good picture quality and the sound system is great, too. I use a Sony sound bar, but I wouldn't even really need it if I didn't already have it. The bass was really good when I tested it out. I have even confused having the soundbar on/off a couple of times. I've had this TV for 6 months now and I am huge fan. The viewing quality of the TV is exactly what I was looking for on my PS5 or with YouTube TV, Netflix, etc. I haven't noticed anything funky yet and it is still just as fast as it was out of the box. Just make sure if you're going to get a TV this large that you can sit roughly 9-12 feet back from it. I also haven't really noticed any viewing angle problems that I saw come up during some of my research. Apparently the viewing angle on this is supposed to be a bit more narrow than some comperable 85" class TVs like the Sonys and Samsungs. Has been a non-issue for me personally, but I tend to sit in roughly the same spot when I game/watch TV or movies. I haven't had any company complain when the couch is filled up, either. In my research, it came down to this model and a Sony Bravia. I can't remember the exact Sony Bravia, it was back in August of 2025, but alas. Decided to save a bit a money and purchase this TV and thus far, no regrets. The Bravia was more than $1000 in price difference for the 85" if I recall it correctly. If you're looking for a bit more of a "budget friendly", but still high quality TV, I'd recommend the QM7K. There are a ton of YouTube reviews that will help you in your research and I highly recommend watching them. It helped me make my decision. When you're spending this much money, you owe it to yourself to not make a hasty decision that you'll regret. I'll try to remember to come back to this at the 1 year point with any additonal thoughts.

Quality 85" picture, intuitive interface, nice build quality - Outstanding value!
When you walk into a local retail store to look at TVs, it is hard to see the fine differences since they are all set “hot” and there is a lot of room light, reflections, and so on. Before buying this set, I spent hours researching the latest and greatest models from major brands, and I was surprised at how well the TCL QM7K series stands up against bigger names that cost significantly more. One website I found useful was RTINGS, but this is just one of many. RTINGS buys TVs and then tests them using professional calibration equipment. I bought this 85" model for our basement rec room, where we sit about 13 feet away. I wanted something big enough to be immersive, yet not overwhelming. If you like to sit in the front third of a movie theater (feet on the railing) and want that experience at home, this size is for you. After a few quick adjustments to smooth motion and reduce peak brightness, my wife and I are both very pleased with this set. It handles low-resolution sources like broadcast TV and old movie discs very well. However, when you play a 4K source, it is truly amazing. This is the first “non-major brand” big screen we have owned in our 30+ years together, and I must say we were impressed. From the cabinet finish to the image quality, we are very pleased and now have a theater in our home with a gorgeous picture that we look forward to enjoying together and with friends. In time, I will use a calibration disc to fine-tune the display settings, but it is already a beautiful display. It's hooked up to a surround sound system so I can't offer any opinion on the sound quality. Happy shopping!

Almost perfect... that glare tho
Lot's to love about this TV. Pretty great picture, nice remote, great smart features and inegration. Price is reasonable given the size we purchased (75"). If there was one flaw with this TV it would be the glare. Kitchen lighting reflects pretty bad, refelcting massive squiggley lines from one side of the TV to the other. Basically impossible to watch this TV w/ any sort of lighting on in the background. Natural light is a non issue, and dark room is great as well. We're happy, but would like to see a little more of a reflective covering on this TV.

Amazing tv for the value, don’t even care about OLED now
Should’ve upgraded a long time ago! This TV is perfect. I debated buying an OLED as this tv would be used 75% of the time for PS5 gaming, but I am so glad I went with the TCL. The picture is insane, crisp, and perfectly bright. The interface is super easy to use, remote is nice, settings easy to navigate. Seriously, unless you have a very dark room, I’m not sure OLED is the way to go. The brightness is just more worth it to me than deep blacks. TCL does it right.

Wow!
Bought this two months ago during Prime Days sale. After what seemed like extensive research I had narrowed my choices to TCL, LG or Hisense. The TCL QM7K was the highest rated by Rtings.com at the price point I wanted. Other factors favoring TCL were the HVA screen claiming a wider viewing angle, this was replacing a Hisense U8 series which failed after only 30 months which left me with diminished confidence in Hisense and, although I am partial to LG, they apparently had availability problems with the model I selected. My primary TV is a LG C3 OLED. I prefer the TCL Google system, the TCL screen and audio tuning and the TCL remote. The OLED is superior for viewing angle and, although the LG picture is not as bright, I prefer the LG picture quality overall. However, if I needed to replace the LG OLED, I would be happy with The TCL QM7K. Out of the box the picture is amazing. For the most part I select Standard for the picture set up and leave it there. On Standard the picture is bright, the contrast right on, the colors vibrant and accurate. The TV will auto adjust brightness and you can override the auto bright if you want but rarely do I need to. The presets for picture and audio were amazingly accurate. I loved the picture from the beginning and actually was concerned because I did not feel the need to tune the picture and sound. I finally did use the Rtings settings for the Movie picture and thought all they did was bring the Movie picture closer to the preset Standard picture. The HVA panel viewing angle is slightly better than a normal VA panel but not much. If you need a wide viewing angle, spend the extra dollars for an OLED. The audio is quite good. Not sound bar good but far better than most. I switch back and forth between the Music setting for movies and the Talk setting for just about everything else. Buy this at the right price and you will be amazed!

Great allaround TV very good picture quality.
I love this TV, for the price cant beat it. Not an TV snob but picture quality is very good in my opinion. Alos love the google TV. I think the sound is ok but I can say cause I use a JBL soundbar all the time. I would buy again. Menu lag is minor, streaming is great, absolutely love the backlit remote.

First One was possessed, but second one is excellent
First, I must say Amazon's delivery service and easy return policy worked great, as I actually used both services. My first 75QM7K had some strange problems. Although its picture quality was top-notch and everything seemed to work properly, I observed a few annoying issues. 1. TV self-restarts after turning on TV every time. When TV is turned on it does immediately to Google TV home page. Within 2-3 seconds, TV would just restart by itself. This behavior was consistent and persistent. 2. TV would self-powered up and turned on even when TV was manually turned off earlier. I never was able to establish its interval as it seemed random. 3. When playing music with heavier bass, there was a bit of buzzing at the back of TV. Not so loud, but noisy enough to notice. I worked with TCL tech support, but we were not able to resolve the issue, even trying to alter various options, factory-resetting. Eventually, TCL support recommended returning and exchanging a new TV. It was reassuring that TCL support confirmed my reported issues were not common issues for this latest model. I initiated Amazon return and schedule pick up. The challenge was disassembling it and packing it. Fortunately, I kept all original packaging materials when the TV was first delivered. The second 75QM7K is awesome. None of problems I reported showed up. Both audio and video quality are top-notch. I own a LG OLED 65", and I found this TCL TV is quite enjoyable. Google TV works great. It is very well integrated with various streaming apps. TCL TV is a great app that offers free local and national channels. I wish it includes more local news channel, but it only include News9 for Denver, CO region. I mounted this TV with Perlegear Ultra Slim TV Wall Mount. This TV places all its inputs and power on its sides to allow easy access and TV to be placed flatly against wall. With that said, its VESA placement actually resulted in top of TV to lean forward rather flush against wall. For me, it works as I mounted the TV ~6-7 feet above floor. All and all, I really love 75QM7K. It comes with latest technology, great in-TV sound, Google TV, TCL TV+. It is a great value without sacrificing quality.
