My Cox Internet Router is in the back room of my house because I like to get a full internet signal in my back yard and the back patio. I added a security camera to the front of my house above the garage door, but it only got one bar of Internet signal and this caused my security camera not to work as it should. I realized I would need an extender. I went to Amazon and this extender was the first one to pop up that was not outrageous in price. It had awesome reviews and a high rating so I bit the bullet and got it. Best decision I ever made. When it arrived all I had to do was install it's app and add it to my Internet connections. The instructions given were clear and the step by step process was self explanatory. In minutes this extender was up and running. I went to the garage at the front of my house where the Internet signal was very bad. Only one bar on the security camera. I plugged this device into my garage outlet and it was like magic. I connected my security camera to the extender's Internet connection which is basically an extension of my existing 2.5gb connection and like magic my camera then showed that it was receiving a full signal now will all bars highlighted. Awesome! And that's not all. Now my phone gets awesome internet too, in my front garden all they way past my front street and across the road too. I'm ecstatic with this new extender. Easy to install. I'm at the end of the add-on on the back of the house and wi-fi does not get to me. So my Netflix was buffering and freezing all the time, I couldn't use my Notepad and my cell phone was as slow as molasses, even though we installed another router in the room next to me, but further to the backyard. I bought this great priced little "extension" -- it arrived today. Installed in under half-hour. We kept waiting for it to connect, and it finally did. So now instead of the two routers in my house, under my "wifi-list" it says, one of the Wifi names but it added .ext to it. So I now just connect to the Extension version of that Wifi name. Now my notebook comes right up, so does my cell phone and now I can watch Cable movies with no more freezing in the middle of the movie or buffering so long, that I don't even get the movie at all. Love this little thing. Buy one. You will NOT be disappointed. I should have done this a long long time ago.
