Marvelous!
If you are in to magic and or have children that love amazement this is a must see. S&R are truly one of the most unique acts to ever hit the stage. This highly educational, biographical yet totally entertaining DVD finds it's appeal in the fantastic way in which the producers bring you in to S&R's rags to riches world; how they grew up, and transcended a post WW II childhood filled with despair and seeming hopelessness to truly phenominal entertainment success combing magic, exotic animals and thier "one-of a kind" expert showmanship. The DVD blend all this beautifully with actual footage of their act and how though belief in themselves that made them "Magicians of the Century". Narrated by Anthony Hopkins, it's a truly wonderful, accurate portrayal of what the art and science of performing magic is really all about, and more importantly how to believe in yourself; how S&R made each and every one of their audiences feel truly involved in their wold of making the impossible believeable, even just for a couple of hours. How these two men brought wonder to so many millions of people over a thirty year reign as the best performers in Las Vegas is still one of the most amazing phenomenons in Las Vegas and performance history.

One of my favorite horrible films ever made! I'm using the term film extremely loosely here.
It's about how Sigfriend and Roy met and became the magicians they were in the day. It's unintentionally hilarious. I saw it in 3D IMAX back in the day and was hilariously laughing out of control. I ended up starting a heckle group in my seating area. To be fair, I think we were the only people in the theater. It has a Lassy moment where the dog or wolf saved Roy from quicksand (seriously, it's in there). It also explains that they started as a cruise act so we can also blame the cruise industry for their very existence.

Saw them in Las Vegas
After the tragedy and seeing the CD available for purchase I decided to get it. Seeing them in person was AMAZING and the CD I found very interesting learning about their backgrounds with the intermingling of bits of their performances. Well done!

Siegfried & Roy Awesome
I love the video and want to get all their videos someday. I have been in their house in Las Vegas and met them in person back in the early eighties. They were the best and I want the videos to be able to share their work with others who haven't a clue who they were. They will be missed. Ya all did great and Thank you very much. I love Amazon.

Not the 3D we're used to viewing in 2011...
I first watched 'Siegfried & Roy: The Magic Box' in 3D on Time Warner Cable. TWC offered it free. I enjoyed learning the background of these two entertainers. The 3D was amazing but in a few areas had crosstalk/ghosting. I planned on watching it again on TWC, but it was removed from their line-up. At the time, TWC removed several free 3D programs (a few months later the free 3D programs were added back to the line-up).This 3D version:When I searched Amazon, I found this 3D version which uses those cardboard glasses with one red lens & one blue lens. I was curious about the 3D quality & purchased this DVD for less than $3, plus shipping, from an Amazon seller. I watched this documentary in 3D using the 3D glasses provided in the pkg (4 pairs are included), and the 3D looked awful. In some scenes, the plastic colored lenses even distorted the actual colors in the movie. It was so bad I couldn't finish the movie in 3D. Then I chose Standard to watch the movie. (the two choices are 'Standard' & '3D'). I thought many scenes looked blurry or fuzzy around the edges; the edges weren't well-defined. Probably because this isn't a blu-ray DVD. We have a 3D tv so I chose 2D to 3D, put on my active shutter 3D glasses & the movie looked good. Of course the 3D wasn't as visually exciting as watching it in 3D.I can't recommend this version of the documentary/movie if you're looking for a good 3D experience. However, I enjoyed learning the background of these two talented entertainers, and, in the right format, the 3D is amazing. Also, if you're expecting to see an actual Siegfried & Roy performance, you'll be disappointed with this DVD.

Excellent DVD !
Simply, excellent DVD. The story about these two worldwide known magicians is wonderfiul. Their performances on stage are unforgetable. Don't miss this CD. I recommend it as a good souvenir of that show that was seen in Las Vegas during a long time because, perhaps, we will have no more opportunity to see them in such spectacle. Sigfried and Roy are the masters of the illusion (SARMOTI). It would be so interesting to have more DVD's about their magic shows.

It is not a magic show
If you were like me, expecting to see a magic show, this DVD is not the one. This is a re-created story of two boys, with couple minutes of the las vegas show footage. I should have read the description carefully before purchasing this DVD.

They were the best hard working magicians
They were the best hard working magicians. It was too bad that just as they were to retire at the top of their game they had such a terrible accident. I love them.
