I do all of the cooking in the household. Been wanting a Dutch Oven for some time. It’s awesome and fits the color scheme of my kitchen!

Message to live and learn reviewer: I have many Staub enamel cast-iron products and I use the Dutch ovens to make bread. I placed the Dutch oven in the oven and heat it up before putting the bread dough in the pan. The bread turns out fabulous! I first learned to do this through William Sonoma Staub bread recipes. I believe the company asks you not to put the pan on the cooktop to preheat with nothing in it. Please check with Staub as I would be sad for you to send back a great item because of a mis understanding.

You can’t go wrong with Staub! This is a beautiful piece that will last a lifetime. Delivery was quick and it came packaged well. I can’t wait to make my first pot of soup in it!

Love it my pot roast came out great. And I don't have to worry about the inside getting stained.

I love the color ( mauve/lilac) and that it is lighter than many Dutch ovens, but my primary reason for buying this pot was so I could make sour dough bread. Per the Staub's instruction, the pot should never be heated empty. I've been making sour dough bread for about 6 months now and every recipe and video I watched says to pre-heat the pot empty. I've been borrowing one and have been loving the homemade bread. Since there is nothing in this sales description, I find this at minimum a deep flaw in the product's listing (hopefully not a willful omission?). Why does Staub even make a dutch oven that can't be used for making bread? Seems like a design flaw for such a major brand and with higher price tag. I only saw listing information for max oven temp and since that met my needs, I assumed it was like every other dutch oven and could be pre-heated. I wish I would have read the instructions, before cooking down a batch of garden tomatoes into tomato sauce. It worked fine for that.

It came with too many scratches. The color is very pretty but the base isn’t too broad. Good size for a family of 3 to 4.
