Really involving main story in an impressive world, but some glitches.
I didn’t follow the hype during development, just bought it because I was fan of the Cyberpunk genre. I am really enjoying this game and so are people I have spoken to. It looks pretty amazing and is expansive, and the main story and some NPC’s and their plot lines are very uniquely engrossing to me. I have found it hard to do look for side gigs and other activities because I really want to keep exploring the main characters and find out what comes next. But, walking though the city I have gotten involved in several local occurrences which did feel like I just happened upon a random event in progress. In reality there are numerous ones mapped out and waiting for you to find but still have a different setting or situation. Even the number of unique appearances and overheard conversations in the city seems be not repetitive and immense. The dialogue choices feel limited at first compared to other games which have a more obvious illusion of choice with a direct selection = branch. But my fiends have described events that occurred differently in my play through and there’s been a couple times I reloaded and tried an alternate approach to a scene which ended with a different person or location at the end. So I feel like there may be a more subtle decision tree algorithm at work. I am reminded of the open world gameplay I had in Fallout 4 (which also had some re-occurring glitches) but with the emotional pull of a singular plot like Last of Us or Horizon Zero Dawn. Hopefully the patches will make this stable enough everywhere that the game can stand on the positive aspects. I am giving 5 stars based on my experience. I don’t discount the result on older consoles that is unfortunately dominating the launch response. But for the most part I feel like this was a well envisioned product that did live up to my expectations. On my Xbox One X there is an occasional glitch for sure, but still playable if you have any patience with being set back a few minutes once in a few hours or walking by an odd rendering amidst a massively dense and populated cityscape. The combat has always run smooth for me through my 60 hours of play.. One legitimate warning I will give is that it is set in a dark future and is a mature rated game. At times it doesn’t pull its punches in depicting how some people resort to violence and abuse of others with low value placed on humanity. Not only gangs running the streets, but more individually tragic situations. Most of what I am talking about is related to NPCs that you get a look into their life, but if you are offended it may trigger you. I for one am very happy to have a game like this treat me like an adult because reacting to it and interacting with serious storylines can lead to a legitimate emotional experience that I rarely get in a video game. The major plots have not felt thin or hollow to me.

A New Bar for Open Worlds (Post 12/12 Patch)
For reference, my console is an Xbox One X (not Series X) and my TV is equipped to display games in 4K/HDR. On launch day, the game had issues processing all of the environments and would freeze up occasionally for 10-20 seconds before resuming, with complete crashes occurring after 2-3 hours of play. The game has since been patched and I no longer experience these issues. There are still bugs in the game, particularly with objects like cigarettes being stuck hanging in mid-air but the game is by and large playable. Is it perfect from a technical aspect? No. Is it at least on par or better than AAA releases from companies like Bethesda or Ubisoft? Absolutely. The game is clearly designed for Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC though; based on the issues others are experiencing I would not recommend that anyone with an Xbox One, Xbox One S, or regular PS4 purchase until the game has been patched further. For everyone else, this is the best AAA game that has been released since Red Dead Redemption 2. The environments and characters are the best I've ever seen on console and the world is more immersive than just about any other. This is one of the only games where I always drive to my next location rather than fast-traveling just so I can take in the sights. The game is definitely story-driven; this is not a Fallout: New Vegas where you can totally ignore the main story and still feel totally satisfied with your character 50 hours later (though you will easily sink 50 hours into Cyberpunk). Combat, crafting, and levelling are excellent, if not anything particularly new, and are very much like Fallout or The Outer Worlds. Once you complete Act 1, you are free to explore the city at your leisure and there are an ample number of side missions and minor activities to take on to keep you engaged. Progressing through the main story will take you to new areas and to meet new side characters, all of whom are worthwhile and none of whom outstay their welcome. There is always more to do and see and the game will keep you engrossed for hours on end. Waiting for the game to be patched further before taking the plunge is understandable and warranted. Once you do, you'll never look back.

Amazing first person shooter!
This is a terrific game. The story is great, the gameplay is interesting - a huge sandbox game that takes you to crazy places. Not recommended for children!! It has violence, language, and sexual content. For anyone 17 and older- hella fun!! It's like a combination of Borderlands, Fallout, and Grand Theft Auto on hallucinogens. You can follow the main story line or do dozens of gigs and side quests in which you meet all kinds of weird characters. You can fully customize your avatar and each new piece of clothing changes your look. You level your character up, as well as your abilities, with large skill trees in 5 categories. There is a crafting element as well. HOWEVER - it can be pretty buggy and graphics aren't perfect, as it's really a next gen game for the previous gen system. This isn't the seller's fault, this is the game itself. There has been a large update and hotfix which has helped.

Glitchy at first, but detailed and immersive gameplay.
A lot of people are ripping on this game... demanding refunds and the like. This game was released not even a week ago at the time of this writing. ANY Triple A title released in the last 10 years has been plagued with bugs and glitches in the first few weeks of release. Call of Duty, Halo, Destiny... they are ALL buggy for the first couple weeks. That's the nature of the gaming industry. Now, having said that, this game has a few bugs (graphical glitches and the like) but overall the setting is deep and immersive. The story engaging and there's PLENTY of side quests to keep a person busy. I'm playing this on a Xbox one, not the newest console. Aside from the occasional odd graphics glitches, the game plays fine. If people give the developers a bit of time to work out the bugs, I'm sure you'll experience a deep story. Character creation/customization is super detailed. The extensive perk skill tree system is quite vast with losts of options that favor any play style from straight up FPS, to stealth, to tech/hacking focused. Lots of room to play a character the way you want to play. Initial buggy criticisms aside, the game has a lot to offer. I'm sure it looks even better on next gen consoles and PC, but it looks "okay" on my "last gen" Xbox One.

Over all a enjoyable experience
I’ve owned my Xbox One since November 2015 & less than 6 game crashes in over a month playing. No corrupt saves encountered. Will leave a couple gameplay tips toward the bottom. Think negative reviewers are over reacting, but I recon everyone is a critic about everything . Think when anyone criticizes anything people start jumping on board, just human nature. Find the game over all a enjoyable experience. No game out the gate is without some bumps in the road to fix which I think they are doing. Think I've downloaded about 60GB or so of game updates. I’d recommend watching different YouTube videos on how to start the game before you start it as will help on which places to put stat points best & places for hidden items(especially free higher up items early in the game). Or just do a practice run to get a feel of how you want to play later. Bought the game day of release & each update I’ve downloaded to improve gameplay. It’s a very large world to explore. Believe you’ll have at a minimum several play thrus using different character builds playing the game. Know I’ll enjoy playing thru differently. Plus I figure the 1st play thru will give yourself tips on how to play the next play thru better. More fun of a game with live action instead of turn based combat like in Fallout 4. Will say the motorcycles easier to drive to get around than the cars. Think the best tips I can recommend is watching the YouTube ideas dealing with free legendary weapons you can get early in the game as a decent weapon or armor makes the game more fun to explore. That and what I saw online about loot boxes with a !(exclamation point) above them. Before you take whatever items are in a loot box with a ! above it save the game before you take items. You can game save before taking any items. Then load to get more items to your suiting as will reload items stats each time to load a save at that spot. You’ll get the same item but a variety of different weapon or armor stats. Think especially early in the game reloading a save to get a better item makes it better.{you’ll need 2 saves-1 with the best item you like already looted & 1 with before taking item out of loot box until you get what you want(keep track of which save us what)} If you find a spot where there are several bad guys to defeat that drop rare or higher items, make a note of where it is to farm them for the items they drop & advancing your character. As you’ll be breaking down items for components often I’d recommend you save BEFORE starting to start breaking down items. Very easy to by break down a item by mistake you can not recover. I’d look at all the perks offered & write the highest stat level you need for whichever perk you want. They do make you think about stat point distribution with a cap of only 50 points. And for example I’d say if 16 level tech gets you the perks you want don’t level up to max 20 as you can spend the other 4 points elsewhere. Lastly, if a certain group of bad guys are giving you trouble you may be too low in level to defeat them. Reason I mention this is I was having trouble defeating a certain group where 1 shot from them would kill my character. Snuck around & picked them off 1 by 1. When I looted them with their weapons were like 6+levels above my current level(no wonder they were 1 shot killing me). Hope my info helps you enjoy the game.

A GREAT RPG!
☆I rate this game 9.8/10☆ I have played the game just over 598 days- over 14,300 hours, between the base game & DLC. This is an EXCELLENT RPG! The game is exciting, the map is large & there are LOTS of gigs & missions... Your dialogue choices will impact the game. Your actions will affect how npc's react to you... pulling a gun may result in a fight. Kill a bystander & NCPD will come after you. If your wanted level goes to 5 stars, be ready- MAXTac may show up... they were nicknamed the "Cyberpsycho Squad". There are lots of different cars in the game... and there are autofixer terminals scattered across the map, where you can buy cars. El Capitan has different cars he wants you to steal... afterwards, you get rewards, money & a discount towards the car of your choice. There are different ways to play... the corpo, the nomad, the street kid. There are quite a few endings to choose from in the base game. There are secret endings, but there are certain requirements. There are secret achievements too. The DLC has different endings... some cost in a big way. There are LOTS of cyberware builds to choose from, based on how you play... if you prefer shotguns, or sniper rifles; if you prefer to play the netrunner, there are lots of perks & attributes, that will make V very powerful. If you are playing on Series X, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying the DLC Phantom Liberty! CDPR did a FANTASTIC JOB on it! The ray tracing, 4K, & all the technical advances made over the years have added up to significant visual improvements! You can put the game play on an easy, medium, or very hard setting. Keanu Reeves does a great job playing Johnny Silverhand... My review would be VERY LONG, if I were to list all the things that set this game apart from the others... You can be as good as you want to be Or you can be as bad as you want to be. When you get into the secret underground facility Militech named 'Cynosure'... you better be ready- It will have your nerves frazzled while you are down there, trying not to get caught by the Cerberus MK II robot. You can't use any cyberware or hacks while you are down there, and you can't kill it. There is a lot of intense action in the game, and interesting characters that you meet along the way- some, you build friendships with, and others you will have a romance. There are twists & turns throughout the game...

An Underrated Game
I am playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One S. When I received Cyberpunk 2077 on December 14th, my first 4 hours with the game left me feeling disappointed. "This game is so different from the 48-minute walkthrough from two years ago," I thought. Having played The Elder Scrolls IV (Oblivion) and V (Skyrim), and a copy of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II that was so damaged, half the time the game would crash before I even got to the main menu, bugs and glitches don't bother me. What *did* bother me was the feeling that I wasn't playing Cyberpunk 2077 how it was meant to be played. It was like I was playing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on PlayStation 2, or Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie on Xbox -- if you've ever played The Force Unleashed or King Kong on Xbox 360, it's clear which console the games are meant to be played on. I uninstalled Cyberpunk 2077 after 4 hours, intending to play in March after the updates in January and February had hopefully improved the graphics. But, less than a week later, I woke up on Saturday not willing to wait months. So, I re-installed the game. And, since I knew what to expect -- since I knew that the game wasn't going to be everything I thought it was going to be -- I relaxed. The reaction to Cyberpunk 2077 reminds me of the reaction to Star Wars: The Last Jedi. I had no expectations for The Last Jedi -- there were no fan theories I hoped would be proven true -- and because I just saw the movie as it was, not as I wished it would be, it's become my favorite of the Sequel Trilogy. So, why do I like Cyberpunk 2077? 1. I like that a seizure warning is included when starting the game. It shows that CD Project Red takes the well-being of its players seriously. 2. I like that the game gives one the option to censor nudity. An art model, I don't see nudity as something to be ashamed of. But, people of all ages and beliefs play video games, and I'm glad CD Project Red acknowledges this reality. 3. I like that I'm able to assist the police with stopping crimes. Walking to a clothing store, I hear gunshots and run towards the sound. Making the world a safer place while I'm just living my life is a feeling I haven't encountered in other role-playing games. 4. I like listening to the radio. Arriving at the location of a mission, as I parked my car, a song I'd heard in that 48-minute walkthrough -- "Chippin' In" by Samurai -- played. I hadn't expected to hear it, and was so pleasantly surprised that I just sat in my car, enjoying the moment. Across the street, a man's life was in danger, and here I was, rocking out -- that was the moment I felt like a cyberpunk. (I saved the man.) 5. I like just driving and seeing Night City. Cruising down the street, flipping through the radio is the kind of fun I didn't expect to have in Cyberpunk 2077. 6. I like how much freedom CD Project Red gives the player. My V is like no one else's. And, this isn't about the game itself, but: I like that CD Project Red is continuing to be transparent with its customers, encouraging refunds and saying when to expect major updates. I have no reason to believe that this good game won't get better. If I had one criticism of Cyberpunk 2077, it's that at times there's so much happening on the screen -- even with elements of the HUD turned off and graphics settings changed -- that it's hard on my eyes. But that just means I don't spend hours and hours playing Cyberpunk 2077, and spend hours and hours doing things like writing and reading, so it's just as well. To the heads of CD Project Red, I say: "Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is who you really are, while your reputation is merely who others think you are." (Quote by John Wooden.) In conclusion: To quote Blade Runner 2049: "Are you satisfied with our product?" Yes.

Another Great Game From Cd Project Red
This game has a great storyline and great side quests. Graphics are great. Lots of great weapons to kill your enemies with. Everything from guns to Katanas. The music in this game was great. The game character's were also great. Another thing that was cool about this game was upgrading your body mechanics. This game was well worth the price.

Amazing game
Amazing game, I would really recommend this if you don't want to play the Japanese censored version. I'm playing the Xbox series X version and it looks amazing, it updates automatically to the current gen version. One tip, if you don't want to install from the disc you can just download the full version using the xbox app from the cell phone and then you can play putting the disc, is way faster
