Almost perfect
I’m really liking this helmet! It’s a bit hot, but vents are good. However, it’s noisy with the vents open. I’m now wearing earplugs for the first time due to wind noise. I like center latches for shield and chin piece. Outstanding buckle. The BIG downside is being forced to use the Sena SRL-3, which is impossible to use with gloves. Major fail. 5 stars except for the poor communication implementation. I would like the standard shield to block UV rays. My nose and cheeks got burnt when I forgot sunscreen (the only spot on my body not covered with riding gear).

Made for the 2023 Harley Davidson CVO RG in Dark Platinum
The media could not be loaded. I had this in my cart for a while but I couldn’t justify the $900 price. But because of the discount, I jumped on it immediately. I hoped that the color would closely match my bike but it’s almost identical. Same flake and it seems to be the same paint color too. The comfort is out this world too. I’m coming from a Scorpion AT 960. That’s a good helmet but the difference is obvious.

A lesser helmet that previous Neotec
I owned the Multitec and the Neotec original and decided to upgrade to the Neotec 3. In my opinion, this is a lesser helmet to the first Neotec model in every way. The ventilation is nonexistent, the pull down sun shield is not as dark as my previous model so on a really bright day, I still have to wear sunglasses. The visor is flimsy and can vibrate if riding in the open position. It's just the perfect example of a company taking the finest product on the market and changing it to an inferior product so they can charge more for new. I'm keeping it because I prefer a modular but I miss my old helmet.

Don't buy if comms matter to you
If you care about comms, stay away. The required and only comms unit is from Sena. And Sena is trash, nothing but problems. Read the forums, including Sena's own, and you will see nothing but problems, including the latest breakage of voice commands. Using voice commands via Siri, or Google, is a huge safety feature for riders. If Shoei only supports one model of comms and they do not hold their partners to quality standards, then this is shame on Shoei as well. This pretty much ensures this is my second and last Neotec.
