Dictionary of Dinosaurs: an illustrated A to Z of every dinosaur ever discovered

Arrived earlier than stated. Obviously we'll used. The glue of the back of the pages came off and the corners were all bare, exposing a centimeter of each corner and several small spots along the edges of the hard cover. However, the inside pages were intact and clean with no markings or written notes, the pictures were colored in a faded way but still very clear. Not all the dinosaurs were shown altho they were described. I decided to keep the book after I cleaned it up and "repaired" the damages. I am satisfied with the contents and noted that the most recent dinosaur discovered in April 2023 was in it. I would consider it "acceptable", no higher as shown in Amazon. I actually bought it for my 2 1/2 and 7 year old grandchildren who are obsessed with dinosaurs and for my own information to be able to identify their over 50 dinosaur toys. For the over half discounted price, I am fine with my purchase.

My son is OBSESSED with dinosaurs and I'm constantly fact - checking him even though he is only 4 (I'm usually wrong). I thought it would have all of the dinosaurs discovered but it only has verified dinosaurs so it's missing some.

This book is amazing and so cheap too. The quality of the physical book is out standing and my nephew has just about got the whole thing memorized

This is a fantastic book, with very good illustrations. I just wish they had illustrated all the dinos instead of just illustrating a couple every page. I would be even ready to pay double or more for every dinosaur in this book to be illustrated.could have been an easy 5 rating instead of 4

I loved the cover design and all of the artwork is just so impressive. I would live to have a puzzle with this design.

Bought this for a family friend's kid who LOVES dinosaurs. He absolutely loves this book. He’s already presented it at school for a book report assignment. Packed with all the information needed to make your amateur paleontologist go bananas over. I would strongly recommend this book.

Beautiful book! Just like all the previous Braun books this one does not disappoint. I like the addition of the size scale to humans. Because a lot of these dinosaurs aren’t part of the “classics” it’s important to show details of those as well. Great job publishing company!

My 5 year old found this at a local book store and begged me for it, found it on here for much cheaper. She loves the illustrations and bits of info on each Dino especially the comparison of Dino to human size. Definitely recommend!

Very informativeLearned lots myself even though it was for my Grandson

Stunning stylish illustrations are chocked into every page that me and my dino-fan son love having a read through whilst watching his favourite dinosaur themed shows. Although the information is brief and not every dinosaur in here features a Dieter Braun illustration (some just show a silhouette), the artwork that is included is worth the price alone. Nice layout and breaker pages with an dinosaur era overview as intro give it a bit more depth, but you won't find air or sea-based dinos in here as they technically aren't "dinosaurs" per se. That being said, the pronunciation guide has been the best I've encountered for help in saying the trickier names, which for my 3-year old dino fan is all the info he wants. My disappointments were that the book isn't bigger with more artwork or broader range of creatures from the ancient era or facts like the DK, but for the visuals alone and the price it is sold at, it is completely forgiven. I will definitely go on to buy more books produced by Dieter because they are absolutely stunning.

I bought this for my 4 year old who is a huge dinosaur fan. It was appealing as it claims to have every dinosaur discovered. Whilst it has most dinosaurs note it does not include pterosaurs or large lizards (eg Pteranodon) which some kids will want to see and may not appreciate the distinction. The images are very stylised and different to other books which could be seen as positive or negative depending on your viewpoint. It is also worth noting that not all dinosaurs in here have a picture. Overall my son enjoys this book but he may have been disappointed if this was the only book he had on the subject.
