Active 2 Premium Smart Watch 1.32" Sapphire Glass, GPS, iOS/Android

Can you give 10 stars? My 3 year old, $300+ dollar FitBit watch died after it got wet (must have gotten a crack somewhere). Anyway, as someone who exercises a lot I wanted another smart watch but this time hopefully a bit nicer looking than the old square FitBit Sense 2. I thought 'For $99 let's try it, I can return if I don't like it.'Ordered it at 10:00 pm the day my watch died, next morning at 7:00 it was here and I was wearing it by 7:30. Just wow, wow, wow. So much better than my FitBit at 1/3rd the price. What I like better: * 14 day battery life - that is legitimate - if you are just wearing (not tracking exercises, etc.) it will last at least 10 days, but usually about 2 weeks. * When tracking an exercise activity - gives me more data, easier to read data, and overall does a better job than my fitbit * Nicer looking - Round instead of square, lots of nice looking standard watch faces - in fact, it looks like a real watch with some of the faces * Stays connected to my Google Pixel - My FitBit did this OK, but regularly it would disconnect from the phone and then you couldn't see weather, it wouldn't update data online to read, etc. This watch, I think it has disconnected maybe once since I purchased it * Charged from 8% to 100% in just over an hour * So many additional options around tracking sleep, taking breaks, tracking oxygen, etc. * My FitBit said 'You got 4 hours of sleep' every day - even though I went to bed at 10:00 and got up at 6:00. I thought I must not sleep well. First night, this one capture 6.8 hours or something - seemed much more accurate * Have not tried to actually make or receive calls on it, but it does let me know when my phone is receiving a call * Can download and play podcasts and music from the watch * Very accurate when tracking a route - I mountain bike, it is always within a half mile of what my bike says mileage ridden after a 15 mile ride So, you can get a square FitBit that looks like a workout watch and spend $250. You can spend $500 or more for an Apple watch - and what if you are an Android user, Apple watch still works, but can't really connect well to my phone. Or, you can get one of these for $99, get as much and more functionality than a FitBit and about the same functionality as an Apple watch. And, for $99, you could buy one for a friend and still save money. The only thing I see is that is not the end of the world. My FitBit would do a good job of tracking steps that maybe weren't actual steps - like when mountain biking, building trails, I always was over 10,000 steps. First day with this watch I figured out - it only tracks steps - so my numbers hover at 5,000 to 6,000 now for steps taken. This is more accurate but I do miss the big numbers! Looking for an easy to use, full functional, smart watch - $99 gets you and awful lot. had I paid $199 I would still be writing the same review. They did not pay me to write this. Today, after I had it charge from 8% to 100% in just over an hour, I thought the seller/manufacturer deserved the review.

I'm really enjoying this watch. I'm pleasantly surprised with the Zepo app. It has a lot of metrics that I've found useful. I recently had surgery, and it's been interesting to see how my sleep and activity were affected and to watch my scores begin to return to normal. Also, because I'm trying to eat more protein to help with healing, the app makes it easy to track my macros. The battery life is great. It typically lasts about a week or 8 days, but if I track a lot of exercise, I do have to charge a day or two sooner. I have a small wrist, and it doesn't overwhelm my wrist and look ridiculous, but it's large enough to be easy to use the screen. I used to have a Tic watch, which they stopped making,but it stopped charging after a few years. I did look at other Google OS watches, but I couldn't find one that had as many features as the Amazfit Active 2 for about the same price. I also really prefer not to have to charge it as frequently. The ecosystem isn't quite as rich as the Google os, but I miss very little. And since I bought it during the Prime sale, I was pleased with the price. The watch looks good, and there are a lot of alternative straps available (I wasn't a fan of the straps that came with the watch). I compared heart rate, respiration, and oxygen saturation using a finger pulse-ox meter, and the watch matched up almost perfectly. The one thing that I found strange is that the watch will sometimes think I'm napping when I'm just sitting quietly and reading. That's a little annoying. Overall, I really like the watch and would recommend it.

I've had this watch for only two days now, but MAN do I like it! It replaced my OnePlus Watch 3 43mm because I wanted something lighter with a lower profile. This Amazfit watch fits the bill and then some. As a retired senior I don't need - nor was I using - all the workout and athletic features on the OnePlus... but the Amazfit Active 2 Premium has them. What’s important to me is that the "Premium" designation means this model has the sapphire glass (which my OnePlus didn't) which makes it much more scratch resistant. It is lighter and more comfortable on my wrist and, because of the tapered case and bezel and lower profile, it slides in and out of sleeves and pockets without snagging like the OnePlus did. The AMOLED display can be set to super-bright (I have it at about 50%) and is very easy to see - even for my aging eyes. Using the app, I was able to select a minimalist analog face with a black background and just the minimum of data that I want. There was no need to adjust text size, either - very easy to read. I put the orange silicone strap that came with it in a drawer and the supplied leather strap looks nice and goes with any clothing (though the leather strap is a bit short, even on my not-so-large wrist). The watch is quite attractive. I like cloth straps and have one the proper size on order. The step tracking seems to be at least as accurate as my OnePlus was. The app was easy to install and set up (I have an Android phone) and the app quickly linked with the watch. Over 48 hours of use with a lot of screen time setting things up, downloading and syncing multiple watch faces, etc., battery usage has been about 10%. This would indicate to me that, with my normal use, the battery should last at least 10 days between charges. The Amazfit watch is great - and at less than half the price of the OnePlus.

I don't know how they fit so much into such a small, affordable package! It really blows me away. Looks fantastic, good battery life and watch faces, tons of apps and options. It really is impressive. The only reason I switched back to my Garmin is the health/fitness data precision... all the other features both "smart" and "standard" are better on Amazfit. But the distance, steps, workout, and range of other health metrics and sensors just aren't as good. That's probably why it costs so much less, because it doesn't have the history of such deep engineering, software, data research, analytics, etc. Still, very impressive for what it is. Any casual user who sometimes walks/jogs should be really happy with such a powerful little device. And it's absolutely GORGEOUS!!

I did a lot of research before I purchased a smartwatch, and the Amazfit line of fitness trackers kept coming up as good deals with a lot of features and abilities, ompared.to the Fitbits and Garmins, etc... of the world. It's about the size of my old Casio solar-powered analog watch -- which I will miss simply because I never had to worry about manually replenishing or replacing the power supply. The idea of wearing it to bed to track my sleep data was doubtful at first, but I got used to wearing it at night quickly. The rechargeable battery life will vary depending on how you use your smartwatch, so expect to charge it up every few days or so. The "charger" connects to a USB power source and magnetically sticks to your watch for charging. I can usually add 50 percentage points to my battery life in about 30 minutes, so charging is fairly fast. The free Zepp app that works with the Amazfit products works well on my android phone. You can also access many changable watch faces for free, as well for one-time costs. Same with many of the Zepp app features come with basic tracking features -- advanced tracking features are for an optional one-time or subscription cost. The app also is used to set up your phone as well when you first get your smartwatch. The leather strap band seems to be of sturdy quality and the legibility of the watch face screen in outside daylight is decent. It has more fitness modes and options than I will ever use in my lifetime. My only gripe is at night or when I am in a darkened room, the watch face screen will randomly light up for 5-10 seconds at a time even though my preference is to only turn on the screen when physically touching it to wake it up. I still have yet to figure out or to ask customer service how to remedy this. Other than that small annoyance, it's a great smartwatch for it's pricepoint and I would highly recommend it.

I bought this specifically to have strong vibrating alerts on my wrist because I was missing them with my phone in my pocket. With the adjustable settings and ability to create custom vibration patterns, it works great. My last smart watch was a galaxy watch 6, and this blows that away. Battery life is amazing, connectivity works great, the Zep app is fine. For the price, can't be beat. The internal storage is a bit small, so if you want to load a bunch of music on it instead of streaming, I would spend the extra money on the active 3. If I had researched a little better, I probably would have, but since I don't need the extra storage, I'm happy with this.

I was surprised to find I actually love this watch. I’ve got a modest watch collection of Hamiltons, Seikos and Orients but the Amazfit has become my daily wearer. The size is perfect and it’s super comfortable because of its light weight. It also doesn’t look cheap—physical quality is way beyond its price. In terms of battery I turn off the sleep tracking and HR monitoring because I just don’t use it. With those two settings off (and AOD off) I get 7-10 days of battery, basically just using it as a smart watch. I am a cyclist and have used it for recording rides—it does this well, but the GPS battery drain is high. Maybe 20-25% for a 90 minute ride. Surprisingly when took it for a long backpacking weekend the battery did much better. For three 6 hour hikes, the battery drained about 40% each. That was better than I expected, and included using the mapping/route features along with HR data. Speaking of routes, the backpacking and cycling routes worked surprisingly very very well, with the maps sharp and crisp and spot on with the trails in front of me, as well as intersecting trails. I was honestly very surprised of the watches ability in this area. In terms of battery life I did have to recharge overnight just to be safe, while backpacking, but no more so than my Garmin Instinct (the first gen model). And the HR data on the Amazfit is much more accurate while backpacking than my Garmin. In terms of GPS functionality, on my bike rides in the suburbs, it performs flawlessly. My ride data perfectly matches the curvature of streets and mileage is accurate when compared to my Wahoo bike computer or Strava data. While backpacking in the mountains with lots of tree cover, cliff faces, tall mountains etc. it was less accurate, with the gps plot wandering off trail occasionally for long bits. However, this did not significantly affect my mileage data—it just made my route data less “pretty” when analyzing after the fact. Lastly, the altitude data is not great. Sometimes it worked really well over the course of a six hour mountain hike, other times it was off by a good 1200 feet over a course with 4000 ft of gain. So if the altimeter accuracy is a must for you, this is probably not your watch. Apps like Strava can automatically correct altitude data when you upload (as can the Zepp app) so I don’t consider this a deal killer. Bottom line—are there better fitness watches that provide higher accuracy and battery life for what I use the watch for (cycling, backpacking) — YES. My Wahoo bike computer is way better in every respect. But it also cost $350. And I’m sure a Garmin Fenix would kill this thing in terms of backpacking data and accuracy, at the cost of $600-$700. BUT, for $100 this little watch does amazingly well with routes, mapping, HR data, GPS tracking etc, and for day to day use (basic smart watch features) I love it. For $100 I’ll keep using it until it dies or until I simply get bored with it and want something else. The value is simply too great to not keep it and use the hell out of it.

I bought this watch for my early high school son, who is a track athlete and he absolutely loves it. I honestly don't know how this can come in so much lower in price than an Apple Watch. Between the sapphire crystal (no scratches yet), 2000 nit AMOLED display, the 10 day battery life (which is more like 7 if you use a lot of the functions), all the different sensors, and more and better free faces than Apple watches, it is a steal. The other day I thought I heard him talking on the phone but it was actually through his watch using bluetooth- I didn't even know it can do that because I figured it was a just a premium activity tracker with a nice display, but it definitely does toe-to-toe with Apple and Galaxy watches. This premium version comes with 2 bands, and when wearing the leather band with an analog face, everyone just thinks it is a regular analog watch- and I bought him 5 more colored silicone bands from Amazon for $12. If you work out to music and don't carry your phone, it does have an anemic amount of storage for downloads, but we always carry our phonesso it is not an issue. We need to use it longer to assess durability, but assuming it will last 2-3+ years, I would definitely recommend this watch, and would consider the more rugged models in the future to replace my Apple Watch Ultra.

Too much batter and slim watch

Bought this to replace my Fitbit which broke, having lasted less than 18 months. Sick of poor quality Fitbit I decided to move away from them and did a lot of research before settling on this beauty. What can I say, it outshines my old fitbit in every way and cost less too. It looks better, the quality and build seem better, like it might actually last longer, and the zepp app which comes with it is brilliant. The insights are great, again, way more detailed than Fitbit! The watch itself has a really clear, bright screen, and even displays photos and videos! I can even get my ring doorbell on it. It's very versatile to suit your needs, with so many different features and there's lots of clock faces to choose from to personalise it, some free, some paid. It was really easy to set up and connect to my phone. Battery life is insane too, I've just gone 10 days since my first charge without charging it. I've just now put it on charge, it was still on 25% so not desperate (for this watch anyway). I cannot recommend this watch enough for looks, versatility, ease of use, battery life, and price point. It looks way more expensive than it is! I do recommend buying screen protectors though as this watch does have a glass screen.

Pleasantly surprised with this watch. I had an Apple Watch Series 6 which I love but was getting tired of having to charge it every day. Did some research and came across Amazfit. Instead of the more expensive models, I thought I’d try with the active 2. For under $200, this thing does basically everything I want it to and more. Tons of watch faces, battery life is awesome and it looks great. Definitely recommend. Works well with iOS. Gets all my notifications and can make/take calls. I wanted to be able to set alarms and timers with my voice and it does that perfectly. Great little watch.
