Cotheeka Natural Fiber Jute and Canvas Mens Espadrilles

These are the same old espadrilles that I liked in the 1990s. They are the cheap, cheap type without a liner. Remember that when they get wet you have to chuck them, because they will not dry for days and the smell will remain. But if you keep them dry, these are the perfect summer vacation shoes for walks to the beach and around town.

One of the classic European beach shoes, millions of them are worn every year along the Mediterranean. What you do is get to your beach town, buy a pair of these in some little shop that also sells postcards, sunscreen, large umbrellas and those little bamboo roll-up mats, wear them (without socks, duh) while meandering to the beach or the nearby Tahiti bar, and at the end of your vacation, you throw them away. By that time, they're probably torn to shreds, anyway.I can't believe someone tried to skateboard in them, these shoes are nowhere near tough enough for that sort of thing.

These are just like the espadrilles I used to wear growing up in the South of France. Granted, the rubber on the bottom wears away real quick but that's kind of normal. Just a cool, authentic sandal alternative to get you through the summer.

Perfect summer shoes. Thin canvas, don"t expect to last more than a season or two. Classic, timeless, comfy shoes.
