Book of the End

This book by Ibn Kathir who is also famous for his Tasfir of the Qur'an did a great job of explaing the signs of day of judgment as well as giving a throughly detail explantion of the Akhira.

The book is a very good source of Ahadiths. But unfortunately it does not translate some of the Arabic meanings of certain words. For example the Shin of God, God does not have a shin and this is translated wrong. Shin means Saq which is the calamity of the day itself, just like saying in Arabic the Saq of War.The influence of the Salafi or Wahabi is very obvious in the book.Still it is a good read to find out what the Muslims believe in in terms of Eschatology.None Arabic speaking Muslims should seek help in explaining certain Hadiths in the book. Certain things are not taken literary like the Angels Carrying God on a Throne.I hope I have been helpful.When reading this please see How Muslims differ from one another and compare todays events with the book.

An outstanding description of the last days, hellfire and jannah. Anyone eith a shred of belief in the afterlife must read this book!
