This does a great job of shocking our hot tub. We use the tub nearly nightly and have guests every week or 2 as well. I use 2 tablespoons Friday evening with a 10 minute cleaning cycle after we're done with the tub for the night and then Saturday morning i have some residue of oxidized "stuff" to wipe up around the filter compartment. Sometimes need to adjust PH a tiny bit over the weekend and often as not, we end up with about 2 ppm higher free chlorine than before shocking it. Water is crystal clear the next morning.ps: I use this in a Freshwater Salt System.This produces a lot more "scum" to wipe up and/or filter than the product provided by my spa store which tells me it's oxidizing a lot more thoroughly.I suggest pairing it with some scum balls or other floating scum catchers. They'll collect much of the scum created from the shock then you can either rinse them off or toss and replace them as appropriate. Save on filter life.

I have an inflatable hot tub. I don't like chlorine not only because it's toxic, but the smell gives me a huge headache. My hot tub is inside the house, so smelling chlorine isn't so great. After a lot of research, I read about this product, so gave it a try. I started out with a half cup while running the bubbles, then added a tablespoon (or so) after each use. I'm the only one that uses the hot tub, and I normally use it once a day, so I pretty much add a tablespoon a day (with the bubbles going to mix it up really well). It's kept the water crystal clear.I've been draining the water every 2 months or so, cleaning the sides with vinegar and then refilling. I stupidly purchased another oxy spa shock from another seller, and let me tell you, not all oxy spa shocks are the same quality. After 2 1/2 weeks using the other product (after draining the tub and cleaning it), my water was dingy gray looking and I was shocked when I removed the filters and found them full of clear, slimy sludge. Never again! I ordered more of the Oxy Brite and that's what I'll be sticking to from now on.

I have tried many different products out there for my spa. I have very sensitive skin and break out in a rash with anything too harsh. I read a review and decided to try this. It works great and no itchy skin! I basically put a couple table spoons in (I have a small spa) after every use. This has worked great for us. We have a product we add monthly as well. I highly recommend this product for sparkling, clean water that does not irritate your skin.

I usually buy the big 25 pound bucket of PoolLife brand oxidizer from the local pool store. This time at the urging of a different pool expert, I tried GLB Oxy-Brite. I also switched and bought the smaller 2.2 pound containers.In the two uses so far, I really do think the water is clearer than the other brand. The GLB brand says it has some sort of blue water crystals... so maybe these are doing the extra bit of help? Anyhow, by going to the smaller containers, it ups the price a little, but makes it so I can just open, pour around the edge, and toss the container. Very convenient.

Like many pool owner, water chemistry can be a continual challenge. Chlorine gets locked up with other organic materials that it no longer is able to kill the algae. This stuff shocks the pool without using chlorine and frees up the chlorine. At least that's the theory. It did kill the algae and the chlorine level has stabilized.

I count on this product for my spa sanitation regimen. It works well.
