So far a great alternative to pricier machines.
*6 month update* Still one of my favorite purchases of the year. No issues with the grinder and to be honest I probably dont clean the grinding portion as much as I should haha. I did have issues with it getting up to pressure, which was fixed by just descaling the machine when it was asking to be descaled. So far im just really impressed still. It makes good coffee to the point that I'd rather just have my coffee at home then out. And I'm not that involved when it comes to brewing either. I'm not measuring input and output. Im not spraying the coffee beans. Im still using the provided portafilter. No screen etc. No fancy beans, just lavazza espresso beans. And still it pulls better shots than what I tend to get at most coffee shops! Is it better than a breville? I can't judge since I've never tried one. But in my opinion, is it half the price of a breville good? Absolutely. Ignore being influenced to get one of the most expensive entry espresso makers on the market and just get this one! *2 month update* So far still great! I've had no issues with the grinder, though I do clean it every time I fully refill it. Still brewing great, I dont think its hard to dial in the beans. I've switched twice now with minimal adjustments to get it to pressure etc. I dont often drink hot coffee but the times I have its been just as good. The frother is loud and does take some practice. Was absoluty worth this over the $600 breville. I hate going out to get coffee bc 9/10 I spend $7 plus on a coffee out and legitimately think, well what a waste my coffee at home would've been better! *original review* So far so good! I was skeptical because of the price, and was having a hard time choosing between getting this or waiting for the Breville Barista Express to go on sale again. I chose the Crema supreme over this years model, the crema deluxe, because I couldnt find very many reviews, and was very skeptical of the price given it had a double boiler. Most double boiler models are around $1600 or more so the deluxe model really just seemed to good to be true, and the supreme was the safer option. I did a lot of research prior to buying in order to understand how to operate a machine of this caliber, as its not as simple as a your run of the mill keurig or nespresso. If you are wanting a push a button, have decent coffee machine, this wont be for you. There is a learning curve and it requires patience and a little wasted coffee. I have never used a semi automatic machine before. Even considering that, it only took me 2 tries to get the machine into espresso pressure range and make a decent shot of espresso. I've had lattes made with the ninja lux and I think the coffee out of this was better and less bitter. Its certainly better when you consider this machine is half the cost. The only gripe I had was I felt that the milk pitcher was comically small, and I probably will replace it eventually. The 58mm portafilter is large and I imagine it may be harder to find aftermarket accessories for it. It is also shorter than the dimensions given in the description. I have about 3 inches of clearance above the hopper under my upper cabinets that are 19inches from the counter. I am hoping with good upkeep and cleaning, which is also an every day maintenance for machines like this, will mean it will last a long time. Im not sure it will rival brevilles average of 3ish plus years but I am hoping! I will probably update at 6 months to a year as i had a hard time finding people who continued to update thier experience.

A perfect home machine
Great machine and super easy to use at home. The price was fair and I did order the milk frothing stainless steel pitcher to go with it (not included). The area under the espresso drip is a bit on the tight (short) side would be my only complaint. It does make some noise when brewing but only for 27 seconds so not really an issue. The frother works great as well. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to avoid super expensive options and going out for a latte. Appearance is nice, no odors, easy to clean, and heats up quickly. The machine is also not bulky on the counter

I’d give this zero stars if I could
No machine or product has tested my patience the way that this espresso machine has. I really feel like I’ve gone through all stages of grief with this fussy problematic thing. It’s not user friendly in ANY way. Just to be clear, I’ve returned and repurchased this twice because my first time around with it were glorious. I like to think about my first 6 months with this machine as a honeymoon phase of sorts. I was making 2 or more cups a day, experimenting and genuinely had so much enjoyment with it. Everyone I made coffee for said it was the best they’d ever had and even I could admit it was better than any coffee I could buy from a chain place. But then one day I saw the descale light started to flash and I knew it was time to clean it. This became my biggest problem. I watched every one of the brand’s tutorial videos, read the manual front to back, chatting with other customers on Reddit for tips. No matter what I did, it just kept flashing. I ran a vinegar solution multiple times and cleaned the machine inside and out and it was never enough. I figured my machine was just defective. Unfortunately it was past the return date so I was stuck with it. I decided to buy a new machine which was my second mistake. If you’re wondering why I made this dumb decision to buy it again, it’s because my dad bought me this as a Christmas gift right before he tragically passed away. It was one that he’d done a lot of research on and he’s the one who taught me how to use it so I’ve been very attached to it. The new machine comes and similar to the one before, the first 3 months were amazing. Then I left town for a month on vacation and returned home and suddenly it no longer wanted to reach espresso range. I adjusted everything and tried different beans and still no luck. At my wits end with this machine. It’s EXTREMELY temperamental and sensitive. I’m done with chefman products. Don’t waste your money. This is your sign to get a Breville

Great taste & easy to make coffee.
Amazing! My coffee tastes so much better now. I love that you can adjust the brewing time to get exactly the strength and flavor you want. It’s easy to use and makes a noticeable difference in every cup!

I like it a lot
This is nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. I would consider this an entry level espresso machine, it is great for people who can't sacrifice a lot of space for an espresso setup and aren't too interested in it as a hobby and just want simplicity. This machine has paid for itself by now, with the many cups of espresso I have created at home instead of spending insane amounts of money on coffee. The top has metal which provides you with a pretty convenient spot to place bits and pieces that are important for espresso making when not in use. It gets to a good temperature, and it produces a nice flavor with the right amount of foam. The frothing wand is also pretty good and straight to the point. A few things to be aware of: The froth setting seems glitchy and suddenly stops, where I have to switch it off and start it again. Remember to clean it, everywhere, including the wand, the slightest bit of buildup inside can mess with it. Buy espresso cleaning tabs and run water through it until it's all gone every once in a while. Read the instructions on how to start the cleaning process for an easier time with maintenance. You won't regret it. It can vibrate cups to the point it moves away from the nozzle so that you spill espresso into the catch tray. This can be fixed with a thin textured silicone coaster. Don't walk away from it when it runs. One thing to note: It performs poorly if you need to serve more than 1 person at the same time. It very easily overheats if you prepare more than 1 cup, especially if you have used the frother, use it last for both cups to serve 2 people, to avoid awkwardly waiting while your friend sips theirs and finishes it before you even start yours. If you're mobility impaired or have loss of strength, it can be difficult to place the filter on the maker and locking it in, as it can feel tight.

Best of purchases
I love my morning cappuccino, and wanted to upgrade from my dingy small manual coffee maker to this magnificent machine. I wasn't willing to pay $600+ like another famous brand, and came to Amazon. Well I found this and only spent around $245 on sale!! It arrived well packaged, came with everything except the tools to clean it but that's alright because I love the machine so much! It's easy to learn how to use, videos on YouTube and the pamphlet are easy to follow, the quality of the machine is professional, no leaking, no cheap parts, the taste of the coffee is amazing, and it looks very sleek and nice like I'm at a cafe. The value of the machine is great, and is one of the best and most looked-forward purchase of 2025/2026 I've made.

Worth the investment
I absolutely love my espresso machine and have nothing but great things to say about it. Several months in and it’s saved me a ton of money already. I’m also realizing that other coffee shops really can’t hold a candle to my espresso at home. My favorite part of the brewing process is the delicious crema that sits above the body/heart. Find the right espresso, specifically a finer blend and its perfection. Hot or over ice it’s a win. The steamer is great as well, only thing is I wish it was a little bit longer, at least 1/2” so I could maneuver my froth cup with a little more ease. But other than that, it was well worth the investment.

Underdog Espresso Maker - Must Purchase, Grinder, Adj Brew Temp, 3L Water, 2 Baskets, Funnel
* Update 1 Jan 26: Use nearly any puck screen to help with every shot if you've been failing with this Chefman. I've used the stock plus another so 2 different portafilters both favoring puck screens which a major advantage of using a puck screen is more even water distribution across the coffee puck, which leads to more consistent extraction, more resistance * My Chefman Crema Supreme Espresso Maker $279.99 has 15 bar pump, 30 Settings - CONICAL BURR GRINDER, 58 mm Portafilter, 4 Adjustable Brew Temp control/settings (194F, 198F, 201F and 205F), Milk Frother, Water Capacity 3 Liters = 101 oz, Wattage: 1,450 watts, espresso accessories including a milk pitcher, nice tamper, 2 Baskets (7 gr and 18 gr), cleaning tools and a grinding funnel. I've been only using for a month or so but she's working 20+ coffee-type drinks daily for dialing in 8 coffee types, roasts, milk drinks. Already had to descale a day ago and we have great water. Sure $280 is great and I bought a 3-year extended warranty for $30 ensuring joy. I had a tiny 4 cup Braun Espresso in 1996 while assigned overseas in Belgium and now just getting back into the Coffee world. Learning lots via Youtube and ChatGPT, books, others. I see lots of brew methods, types and techniques in my future. I'm going to buy and try quite a bit, maybe even some fun reviews are the way ahead. If Chefman fails, I'll be going up into the $500-1,000 machine category. I'm 53, new to the coffee craft but started drinking it in 2nd grade/10 years old due to hyperactivity which coffee impacts differently for some. I document/log some coffee data as I progress through this stuff or I'd never get to drink a cup since ya need training if dialing in 8 coffees esp on a new machine. I also have a Cuisinart Single-Serve Coffee Maker + Coffee Grinder with K Cup and my daily 32 oz French Press. My Rig, Jam, Coffee Setup, Accessories are below. Your puck prep needs to be spot on to get certain values. You don't need to spend what I did but $50 tamper or stir distribution that ensures consistency for 5-10 years is a win. She came with a heavy duty tamper but uneven pucks are real. Also these Amazon items work with our Chefman. buen producto
