A little over a month and it's worn out
I received this belt almost exactly a month ago, I've worn it almost every day since and it's already begun to fail. The Velcro (or whatever they want to call it) barely holds on anymore and every time I bend over too far it comes loose. I'm an auto mechanic so I'm always bending over, squatting down, climbing up, lying down, sitting up and generally moving around so I need a belt that holds on while I move and won't scratch cars. It's a good idea and worked great at first but quickly turned into more garbage.

This is the best alternative to buckle belts out there
This is the best alternative to buckle belts out there. Hands down.As a more portly gentlemen, regular belts tend dig in and hurt my skin throughout a day of sitting at my desk or moving around. This belt takes away almost all of that discomfort. There is still a problem when sitting for extended periods of time but nowhere else besides that. The belt for me gets perfectly tight enough and when it is new it holds its grip very well. I had bought one and used my first one for a few months with no issues. I accidentally put it through the wash though and that was the end of that as it couldn't hold anymore. So just don't put it through the wash!!I'm at about 52 waist and this one fits me fine and I feel it would even work for guys just slightly above that. Sure it's a little weird to go in the bathroom and hear *scriiipp* of velcro but eventually you don't worry about that as your more comfortable than everyone else out there. I will be a buyer of this belt for life. I prefer it over buckle belts and suspenders for sure.

A pretty cool and unique belt.
I hate wearing belts, but losing weight has forced me to get re-acquainted with them. I started searching for alternatives to the traditional belt, and really wanted something that lacked a buckle, and more importantly, the excess "tail".I discovered a series of belts designed for mechanics and other folks where buckles become a liability, and eventually stumbled upon the Loopbelt. Not only is it plain and simple, it's also attractively priced.I was a little concerned that the velcro wouldn't hold well, but I've been quite impressed with how well it works. It's yet to slip, or come undone on it's own, or get hooked on something, it just works. An added bonus is that it works no matter how you put it on.I'd have given it a full 5 stars but for 2 minor issues:- the velcro seems too stiff, and wrinkles near the stitching holding it to the nylon. Performance doesn't appear to be affected, but it makes it look "cheap" or poorly made- the exposed velcro takes some getting used to. Unlike most velco, the "loop" side isn't very soft, it feels closed to having 2 "hook" surfaces. No matter how you thread the belt, there's usually an exposed section, depending on your girth and size of belt. I find my arms occasionally brushing against it. It's not uncomfortable, but I wish it was either softer, or had a means of covering the exposed velcro.

It's still an amazing belt, just about the only belt that fits ...
I ordered a size 48-52, got a 42-46 delivered. It's still an amazing belt, just about the only belt that fits right with dickies tunnel belt loops.Hopefully it last a long time the Velcro is different, it's got hooks and loops on both sides so it doesn't really matter which way you put it on, and looping it over a belt loop with the Velcro means the belt doesn't slide around at all.

Great Belt
In the past, I found belts were a necessary evil because they often have huge buckles that can not only scratch other surfaces, but dig into my stomach or get too tight when sitting. In addition, you limited to a pre-determined set of holes in the belt to find your comfort zone. I tried one of those ratcheting buckle belts and it wasn't at all as comfortable as the Loopbelt and broke after a year. This item changes all of that. It has no buckle and can be easily adjusted in seconds whenever needed. The hook and loop catches really do hold securely and almost make me forget that the belt is even there. I agree with most that they run true to size or slightly large so if you have a 40 inch waist, the L 40-44 is the way to go.

I like these a lot
I bought two of these, because I have this reaction to nickel belt buckles. I like these a lot. There's a bit of a learning curve with cinching them tight, but it's nothing major, AND I can undo these bad boys very quickly so the risk of pooping my pants is severely mitigated in a diarrhea situation. Very nice functional belt, really. If you need something to wear to the Oscars or to impress your boss, this won't do, unless your boss is used to you wearing no belt at all and having your pants drop and your genitals showing for all to see. This belt is, in such a case, a promotion guarantee. Note that I am not personally guaranteeing you a raise if you buy this. I'm just saying it's better than having your ass crack showing at work.

Pretty disappointed
Yes this will hold up your pants but so will a rope. I guess I am spoiled having purchased a BlueAlpha belt. I was trying to cheap out in buying this one but it is only a shadow of the other. The hook and loop is not smoothly attached to the belt, which makes me wonder if it will start peeling off down the road. I am not returning as I can leave this on a pair of shorts. The lack of a plastic pull through loop (see the blue alpha belt for comparison) which really allows you to tighten down the belt makes this belt not great. For a couple of bucks more, the addition of that plastic loop would be a game changer with this belt. But for the money $9 or so, this is okay. Off to the BlueAlpha site to buy another even though it's around $40
