THE MOST AMAZING READ
It was a very compelling and interesting read with a sweet happy ending after 10 years of violence and abuse. The book shows me how and why the law changed and emphasises how important this case was in the course of the history of law. It was fantastic! I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who is studying Law, is interested in the rights of women or even anyone who wants an interesting read!

Really good read
I bought this book for a friend as I actually know the lady that wrote the book (and she is really nice), and I've been informed it is a really intense story, I will soon be borrowing the book from him to read myself.

Important read
One reason domestic violence/abuse is so full of myths is because the victims are scared to talk. For many of us, luckily, it is an unknown world, but 'Provoked' opens this world up to us. It provides some answers as to how women get themselves in these situations, why they stay, and the day to day doings of sick abusers. As expected, much sadness when reading this, but overall a very important, enlightening read. Provided me with much food for thought on my own culture, views etc. Books which tell such in-depth, lengthy stories usually prove hard to get into, 'difficult reads', but this has been written very well. Well done to Kiranjit for being so brave and candid.
