Heartsmart AED Wall Cabinet with Keyed Alarm

The item was exactly as I expected, and was received quickly. I had a problem with the size, so I returned it, received a credit, and ordered and received one of the proper size. Good experience.

Cabinet didn't come as advertise, The Latch was a string to pull open and it didn't have a key lock.

Attractive, clean looking cabinet.Lightly built; but very good fit/finish/quality of construction (if not materials).The door catch is magnetic. Very light gauge sheetmetal, it can be twisted pretty easily. The door has a spring pin hinge, so the door can be easily removed and put back on if required.The "alarm" is a joke. It could best be described as a "warning tone" but I wouldn't call it an alarm. It is just a steady, fairly high pitched continuous beeeeeep. About as loud as the warning tone you get when you leave the keys in the car ignition.Keyswitch can switch the alarm on or off, key removable in either position. There is a very small arrow on the lock cylinder indicating which position it's in, as long as you remember which is "on" and which is "off".The mounting hardware provided is terrible: the wall anchors (required for mounting on wallboard) have no flange; if you aren't careful, they will push right through and you will lose them inside the wall. The screws are very small probably #6. So small that washers are provided. No mounting template. Keyhole slots at the top, but not at the bottom; so mounting involves installing the two top screws, hanging the cabinet, marking the two bottom screws, removing the cabinet, taking out the top screws, mounting with the bottom screws and washers, then re-installing the top screws with the washers on them. Be very careful not to push the anchors all the way into the wall.Plan on buying better mounting hardware.This is a generous size though. I used these for emergency evacuation kits in the office. I am easily able to fit a bullhorn (BSN Sports MSMEG22W), a clipboard (compact type: Trade Quest MPOLL-AP6-3 [the clip on a standard size is about 1/4" too tall to fit vertically]), a small first aid kit (Be Smart 10OUT02012), a hard hat (Pyramex HP44131V), and some other odds and ends into the case.Nice feature: the front window allows me to position the clipboard inside the case, with the whole of the letter-size instructions on the top sheet of the clipboard visible/readable.The "DEFIBRILLATOR" text comes off with lacquer thinner ... sort of. Mostly. The text paint dissolves very easily but the cabinet paint also softens so much as to be left with pink streaks. (This is obviously no flaw of the cabinet but I thought would be of interest for anyone wanting to use this for some other purpose) So if you need to re-label, probably best to plan to put a new label over the existing one.The four units I ordered did not come with the little shelf mentioned.

I'll give it two stars because it's a cabinet. NO graphics on the outside just plain white. The handle to open it is a string and the alarm when turned on won't stop when the door is closed. I'll be contacting the seller.

We bought two cabinets for our nonprofit and the size and quality of the cabinet itself are fine. However, the door alarm magnets on both broke (while loudly ALARMING) and there seems to be no way to get replacement parts. We're going to have to buy two new alarm units and install them.
