Water Sprinkler Timer Two Outlets Electronic Hose Tap Garden Irrigation System Controller Watering Computer Waterproof for Lawn Yard

With holidays coming up I needed a second timer and as a double outlet was not a huge leap in price went for this model. It seems well built, is fairly solid and has standard fittings and, once you work it out, it is easy to programme. Like a lot of people, looking at questions, I found the right hand outlet would not work. I tried resets (removing the slide in battery case) and all measures of reprogramming before working out a solution. As you set the start time, you set the left outlet then press L-R and set the right outlet. Then set the duration for the left, press L-R and set for the right. Although never mentioned in the instructions, it appears you have to key in each setting for each outlet as you go along - or at least check on screen which outlet you are programming as it seems to default to left. On my model the right outlet was set at 0 which meant it would never start no matter how often I programmed it. Once set you can change timings without too much trouble. I have no idea if that was the way it was designed to operate but it worked for me. As for the unit, it fits on a standard tap fitting and the enclosed connectors work with standard hose fittings from Hozelock and Gardena with no need for excessive tightening and, most important, no leaks. Once the programming was sorted the outlets open and close on time and the ability to water for a matter of minutes every four hours is brilliant to deal with a newly sown area of lawn while another area of veg where I will stand hanging baskets, pots an so on while on holiday, can get a longer soak in the late evening on the other outlet. I also bought the rain sensor which should stop the age old problem of automatically watering in a downpour. Cannot speak of longevity or reliability as yet, but so far I am very pleased now the programming is sorted.

I'm updating my previous review, as the timer definitely has a problem. I bought it in 2023 and after two years the top grey screw wheel which is made of plastic has cracked and water leaks through. The red ring of the water filter has also cracked. This means that water leaks quite badly out the top. However, I bought a spare adapter part from Gardena. I sourced this on Amazon. It fits really well and there are no leaks. At the moment the water filter part doesn't seem to affect it and there is no sign of leakage there. I used PFTE jointing tape to ensure tight, non leaking fit on all screwthreads. I contacted the manufacturer to see if I can buy any replacement parts. They haven't replied yet. The manufacturer is based in the States. I feel this is an obvious flaw in the water timer, as over time plastic parts degrade. I retained my original review below so you can see that it does work well. If anyone does find replacement parts for the red water filter which fit do write it up in your review so I can check it out. Previous Review. Once this is programmed it works really well. It has done a reliable job on keeping my greenhouse watered daily. You can adjust the length of the watering and the timing. So easy to program once you get the hang of it. I added a self watering irrigation system to the timer and everything is flowing nicely.

Very easy to install and programme different irrigation options. Great product, combined with the irrigation system, if you have a lot of tubs and planters. The watering times can easily me changed, and the manual setting is very easy to use.

This dual-watering timer has two timers that allow you to control two separate water flows. Very useful if you have plants with different thirsts. It is easy to set up, with clear controls and display. It's a nice chunky device, solid and well finished. The controls allow you to have watering cycles every 1, 2, 4 or 12 hours, or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 days. Watering time in each cycle can be set between 1 to 360 minutes. Note: I've used other watering timers, which also worked well. And I've thought I've carefully drained them and stored them away in the shed for the winter. However, come the spring, they leaked - there was obviously must have been water left inside which froze and cracked the plastic. I strongly recommend storing them inside the house over the winter!

Broken after 4 days of use - when it turns on, only a trickle of water now comes out. Worked perfectly for 3 days and then stopped. And just 10 days outside the returns window. Grrr. Sprinkler works perfectly without it, so definitely the device not the water pressure or hose or sprinkler.

Day 1 review: appears to work as intended, simple set up even without using the manual and it's worked well. However, the quick connect fitting that is supplied is useless - as soon as you try and pressurise the system water pours out the fitting. This is solved by using a different one (I tried the hozelock one I already had for my main hose and it did the trick) but it's something to consider. So far, seems generally worth it.

Bought as a replacement. So happy with this product that I came back for more, Easy to setup and adjust. Reliable and discreet.

AGGIORNAMENTO.. Giugno 2022 dopo averlo riposto bene come ogni anno, attaccato alla fonte per irrigare, il solenoide non funziona più, l'acqua scorre sempre e non c'è verso di sbloccarlo, dovrò procurare un altra centralina
