We have four chicken coops and are constantly refreshing the flock with new layers. We had another incubator that could handle up to 12 eggs and we made do with it for years. Now, Howooiua offers this 48 egg incubator with Auto Temperature control and Automatic Humidity control! It turns eggs every two hours like a hen would and has adjustable tray widths for different size eggs. Ours are considered super jumbo due to Australorp chickens, the world champions in egg production. When prices skyrocketed this year, we were able to provide neighbors and friends with all their egg needs due to the production of these hens.Of course we have a rooster in the mix so our eggs are fertile and ready to be incubated. Many people don't realize that farm raised eggs don't need refrigeration once gathered for three weeks...UNLESS you wash the egg and remove the protective coating the hen naturally provides so the eggs can be sat on by a broody hen for the 21 days it takes to bring forth chicks. Don't try this with commercial eggs purchased in a store. Once cleaned and refrigerated, they have to remain refrigerated and will never hatch because eggs in the store are not fertile.I love the ease of cleaning and installation. Folks, this is truly a remarkable value for the money for anyone wanting to raise chickens for egg production. The functionality takes the guesswork out of the equation by offering automatic temperature control AND humidity control. We have never had automatic humidity control, it was always to be monitored constantly and adjusted accordingly. The egg turning is required for a high hatch rate and this is also provided by the programmed functionality.Very easy to clean between hatchings and easy to monitor and enjoy the process. I know many schools have units like this in the classroom for educating children. Kids have always been fascinated with this whole process and become part of it. If you know a teacher who would like to try this, reach out with this information and see if it fits his or her lesson plans for the school year. Donate it to those who are learning the old ways of raising chickens for eggs.Another very cool feature is the candling feature. You put the egg in an egg shaped holder with an intense light at the bottom that lights up the whole egg and allows you to see the development of the chick on a daily basis. Also, if one is not developing as scheduled, it can be removed so it will not interfere with the eggs that are developing. This is best done with lights out in the room. I have found kids to be mesmerized looking at the developing chicks in the shell.Our eggs as I said are super jumbo so it will not hold all 48 eggs. This is not an issue due to the fact the tray is adjustable to fit any size egg. We also incubate duck and pea fowl eggs. Both are much larger than super jumbo chicken eggs. This incubator can handle them as well. The adjustability is a huge plus allowing virtually any egg to be incubated.It came extremely well packaged and be sure to retain the packaging to store the unit away safely between incubations.

I won’t be using this for a bit, but I had to have it so I bought it as an early bday gift to me, haha! I left it sealed for now, but I tried to get photos of the inside of the packaging as much as possible.It seems fairly straightforward and minimal assembly, if any.It’s roughly 24”x24” in size so it should easily fit almost anywhere.I assume it’ll function quite well with all the settings and buttons this thing has, haha!Can’t comment on the noise level, but I will update later on that and the durability as time goes by.It honestly seems to be of great quality and I’m excited to use it for my first hatch!

This is an awesome incubator that can hold a large number of eggs while still keeping conditions consistent. It efficiently and accurately manages both temperature and humidity, and I like how quickly it can raise humidity with the quick-add water feature. The plastic is thick and durable, and the unit heats up fast, which makes the whole process easier. The instructions are mostly clear and even include some helpful tips. I also appreciate the built-in alarms that go off if temperature or humidity ever move outside the safe range. The simple design also makes it very easy to clean with a simple wipe out. The instructions also clearly outline how to do this.A couple of caveats are worth mentioning. It uses a sponge system to maintain humidity, so I would recommend using distilled water to prevent mold. Also, the instructions suggest that the temperature can be switched to Fahrenheit, but they do not explain how. That missing detail was frustrating enough for me to dock one star. Overall, though, it is a very effective and well-designed incubator that delivers on its promises.
