I am a chainsaw artists so there is very little about a chainsaw, grinder and sander that I don't know. This grinder is the best one I have ever owned! I have used it under severe conditions for over a month and this thing have performed great. I will definitely add another to my tool bin soon.

We have two of these angle grinders. One was purchased in June of 2021 and one in June of 2022. The second one was purchased when the first one stopped working due to a faulty on/off switch. We replaced the switch on the first one and got it back up and running, leaving us with two mint condition grinders at our disposal. We use these grinders very little. Each one gets used about an hour per month total ... maybe two hours ... so not much.Now, the second one has failed ... also due to a faulty switch ... we thought. We replaced the switch on grinder #2 and unfortunately it still doesn't work. So, at least we have one that is working, for now.These grinders seem to be very well made. I have always liked the brand, so I assumed this would be a good tool for us. Since they would get very light use I figured I would have them forever. The price was good too. I usually buy Festool, but since this grinder was going to get very little use I couldn't justify spending 3x on the Festool cordless one. I'm now wishing I could return both of these Metabo lemons ... so I could buy the Festool one and be done with it. It is going to cost me more to get these things fixed than it was to purchase them in the first place!

Excellent tool in all respects except price is on the high side. I rate the quality and performance excellent as most user reviews had indicated.

Won't hold up long term. Bought this grinder two years ago. I used it a little. Definitely not everyday. It rode around on my welding truck for most of its life. Broke it out to cut some aluminum sheet. It started shooting sparks out and died after one cut. I liked this grinder. The trigger was nice. Shame it was so expensive.

I so far like the grinder but would like to know we can be sure it is as good as the units made in Germany is the quality just as high as the German made units. It is said on the product page that it was made in Germany but when I received it the plate says " Made in CHINA". So the problem I am having is, is it as good and reliable as the past German made units and if so how can we be sure of the quality.

Awesome grinder. This is my second Metabo, they're addicting. This one was a WEV 1500-125 RT (rat tail) Angle Grinder, 4.5"/5". It was $70 off because it was lightly used. If they didn't tell me it was used, I would have never known. It's spotless and runs like a bat out off hell! 35% off the item because the box has been opened, and maybe used a couple times?? Hell yes, I'm in, every time!!Be careful about buying one of these, because you'll probably end up buying it some siblings.

It’s a nice medium duty grinder but mine was refurbished and came without the safety guard. At first I thought it was normal but then realized it was supposed to come with it. I raised that issue with Amazon but never heard from he seller. Also bought a universal dust shroud that won’t fit. So you have to buy their very expensive one. The universal ones fit most brands. Apparently not theirs. I won’t buy this brand again.

Another junk tool with a high price tag. All manufacturers are junk now. Just by the cheapest you can find because none of them last. Metabo brand is complete trash now.

Good power....feels solid best grinder Ive had. We use alot so we will have to see how long it lasts.

ergonomics and features are nice however the grinder does overheat when pushed. I don't expect it will last long and will end up in my big box full of deceased grinders. Too bad since older metabo grinders did me well for a long time in the past.

This grinder has a high frequency vibration that will make my hands numb within a few minutes of use. The vibration is still present even without a wheel installed so something within the grinder has an imbalance. Perhaps the grinder will smooth out with some more use, but I can’t help but think that I would have been better off if I just purchased a Walter 6”.

Last only a few months, worst grinder ever and worst after sale service!!!
