Insulin plants update with picture from the Grintch
I am the Grintch and I wanted to do an update for the cuttings I have. This time I have pictures because some time has gone bye but I must say I am amateur with the cuttings. Don't get me wrong the plant cutting was in great shape and I was even given extra leaves. Now about a month has gone and they look like dead sticks to me. I do keep the soil moist and well drained still. The screen you see is my net that drains the water plus I have wholes drilled in the bottom of bucks to make sure the water does not sit. What I am not sure about is when the cuttings will show signs of life again. I am going to upload a third plant I purchased with the roots, those plants are doing extremely well.Don't get me wrong I love my plants I just wanted to give an update.Thank youThe Grintch

They didn’t include the instructions
They didn’t include the instructions how to take of the plans, until you asked for, plans come with no roots and died after 2 weeks into soil

Absolutely fresh and living plant
Received the package within a week. Came in somewhat cramped USPS Priority box but inside stuff was absolutely fine. There were 3/4 bulb-roots with stems full with living leaves. Since I didn’t have a flower pot immediately available, I placed them in vase with little water, after I washed the foreign soil that still was lingering on the roots. After two days, I put one in a flower pot to keep it indoor and other two in my outdoor garden. I hope outside ones will survive the cold Chicago and regrow in the next spring. Will update then.[Update] Today, I received another USPS box with 20+ leaves. After I placed my order, as I need few leaves immediately to try on my wife who is diabetic, I requested the seller to send few, if possible. And they did. A BIG thanks for that. But, most astonishing fact is the vendor here never bothered about additional shipping charges which I didn't pay nor they asked for. Hats off to such customer services !

Plants received were healthy - Update
The cuttings came with extra care including two with rhizomes even though the product was only for cuttings. The cuttings had some roots on them. Instructions were given for planting. They are now in pots and we will wait to see how they grow. Fluke or not, not sure, but I ate one leaf, waited 15 minutes and my blood sugar went down 23 points. I'll report back on that after they've grown and I can do a real experiment.Update: They all died. I'm not sure what happened because I grow a lot of plants successfully (I have a beautiful flower garden that these were taken care of right alongside of) and took care of these per the instructions. They withered away. I was so sad because they looked healthy. I used good potting soil, kept them wet (not soaked) and in partial shade. I was so excited for these but in the end they disappointed me.

Plant is rough. Edited
The insulin plants looked a bit rough to say the least. It's snapped and smooshed on the way over, and I'm going to try to see if I can bring it back to life, it's just not looking good. I'll update this to add which way this'll go.. [Edit] even with how bad this arrived to me, it perked up real quick and is doing well. Overall strong plant. Thank you :)

Worth the buy
Was very skeptical about buying roots thinking they might die while being shipped. To my surprise delivery came about 4 days earlier than mentioned. Open bag expecting one root as mentioned on the site and to my surprise it contained 4-6 roots can't remember. Roots looked like they were just yanked from the ground. I felt the plastic bag would have killed them. I decided to move forward and plant them in separate containers. It's been about 6 weeks since I planted them and see for yourself the pictures at 6 wks. I am very pleased. 😃Update 7/4/21Awesome growth, finally able to start cutting a few leaves here and there as tea intake for diabetes. They have grown over the spring. They look beautiful. Well worth the small stems received.

3 plants, 1 dead
The cuttings, not roots, came in a thermal type bag. No written info inside or outside the package...just the cuttings. One cutting has a lovey flower bud on it. The 2nd cutting is hearty looking. The third cutting is brown and yellow with leaves separated from stem. Appears dead to me. I might not make a big deal about it but at $20 each, I will look for a refund. Got the other two in soil and hoping they do well.Addendum: I made contact with the seller requesting a refund or replacement of the deceased cutting. They responded quickly stating they will send a replacement.

Will never purchase again
Not what I was expecting even for a plant. Plant appeared to be dead. I’ve had it replanted since the day it came and no growth from any of them. I wasted my money.
