'Fight the dead and fear the living'
There is a t-shirt for sale in the official Walking Dead store with ''fight the dead fear the living' emblazoned on the 'wings' of Daryl Dixon and that statement pretty much sums up season 3 of the Walking Dead as the walkers are the least of the group's worries. In season 3 we learn of the fate of two long lost characters and we see the loss of four main characters and the introduction of several new characters, the most prominent being 'the Governor' who is quite possibly the greatest example of a psychopath that I have seen in a televised series. We also see the transformation of Carl from a boy to a man.The first episode focuses on the band of survivors settling into their new accommodation-a prison. In episodes 2 and 3 we are introduced to the Governor who is the leader of Woodbury, a small town of human survivors, which seems pretty idyllic. As Michonne said in one episode however: 'this place is not what they say it is.'The pace of the series really ramps up in episode 4 with the loss of two main characters in one episode and one of the most moving scenes of the whole series. For the rest of the season we see the escalation in violence as Rick's band of survivors go to war with the Governor's band of survivors. Oh, and some walkers are killed too (or 'biters' as they are affectionately known at Woodbury.)Season 4 won't be out on DVD until September 2014 apparently but having already watched it on television, I can ensure you that the series gets even better and I cannot wait for season 5 to be released on television.

Not for the young or squeamish.
I hesitated to start on Season One, I didn't think that this sort of thing was for me, but I tried it along with my family and we were immediately hooked and we couldn't wait to watch Season Two and now Season Three. The whole story has been brilliantly told and Season Three maintains the standard. Not one for the kinds though.

came a little bit damaged but that's okay it was only the outer packaging, aside from that all the dvd's came unscratched and hopefully in working order (I should think so) but I LOVE THE WALKING DEAD and this is the most perfect must have for every fan it has pictures of the characters on the box and I just love it thank you :)

Hook, line and sinker...
Fantastic series and from someone who would normally avoid this genre that's a real compliment. Have watched all seasons so far on iPad (first 2 free on Amazon Prime) and bought this as need to know what happens next! Haven't been this hooked on something since ER in the 80's. Great characters, great plot twists, gore and a real set of human dilemmas - take away society and who would you be????Buy!

Getting a bit tired this now
A show with huge promise that I confess is starting to get a bit boring... Zombie lovers will disagree, but I'm certainly going off it a bit now. There are some good episodes and more characters, but only a few of the season 1 originals left as the others slowly get munched through. My son loves it though and would certainly vote for a zombie apocalypse.

Getting tired of this - ANOTHER poor quality bootleg sold as Blu-ray.
This seems to be a common problem with Walking Dead series DVD's sold on Amazon. Standard editions are fine - Blu-ray are almost invariably poor quality bootlegs.
