Will this fit a standard 32oz juice container at supermarket?

Do I need to put water in the cup?

Yes. There is a fill line, fill it to that line. After some time some of the water evaporates so depending on how long you keep the airlocks on, you may need to add more water.

Does this fit a 3 gallon carboy

Yes, this fits most modern 3, 5, 6, and 6.5 carboys. A TIP: The #6.5 is almost too small and the #7 is way too big. If you put the 6.5 in and then the push in the airlock you can accidentally push the stopper into the carboy. INSTEAD, fit the airlock to the stopper (Making it a little larger) and then push the assembly into the carboy.
