I had wanted this book for several years to complete my other 2 books in the series. Was happy that Amazon found it for me.

WHO:I bought this book for myself 36 year old femalePROS:I love that the pictures are bright, not over crowded on the page.I bought it mostly so it could foster ideas on how or what to match in my closet as I had a wealth of clothes but didn't always have the ideas on what to put together, and it really fostered ideas.It also let me know what was lacking in my closet as I'd go to put together and idea and realize I don't have for example many belts.CONS:I wish they had more examples for each seasonI wish they had an updated version or put out more than one book.

I love this book as well as all the others in the series I find them to be classic however they put a funky twist on a every day outfit. To me every stylish girl who is interested I building a wardrobe not just finding an one time outfit should require this book to be within arms reach on a daily if not weekly basis.

I checked this book out at the local store first before buying it as a gift for a friend.The book is great except for the first chapter that features celebrity photos which I thought was a waste of trees. In subsequent chapters, the reader is treated to a lot of useful advice regarding budgeting, closet organization, and essential items to have. The way the editors put the outfits together is very creative, approacheable, and not too trendy.However, if you have been a subscriber for the last two years, you will find that this essentially is a scrapbook of useful articles and styles from those issues. I scan pages of past issues of InStyle into my computer for future reference and those scans comprise 80% of this book.If you are subscriber, save your money. If not, this book is a good reference worth the money.

I agree with the reviewer that the book is a compliation of the best of "InStyle" magazine. However, I do not scan the photos from the magazine in my computer, so it was nice for me to have them in all one place. Great reference piece for your style library to stretch your fashion creativity to think beyond the obvious. Also the book does a good job of summerizing the basic essentials by seasons. Nice pictures.
