Great product and one of the few Realtek chipsets with solid implementation
This works perfectly out of the box. I connected it to a switch that has both 10 GB as well as 2.5 GB and it allows me to connect both to the Internet and local area network. The unit is built like a tank and has cooling fins on the sides, but there are no LEDs to indicate activity on the LAN. Works flawlessly in my Mac M chipset environment.

Plug it in and it works.
Needed a way to connect my laptop to the network. This gives me 5 times faster data transfer over my local network vs wifi. If you need to go the wired route, this is a good cost effective option. It has an aluminum body for head dissipation and is sleak to look at. Would buy again if needed, but I don't think I will ever need to. It will last for years to come.

Super Fast and Reliable Connection!
This UGREEN USB-C to Ethernet adapter works perfectly! It was truly plug-and-play — my laptop recognized it instantly with no drivers needed. The speed is fantastic; I’m getting full 5Gb performance with rock-solid stability. The build quality feels premium, and the compact design makes it easy to carry in my laptop bag. It’s a great upgrade for anyone who needs a fast, wired internet connection on a USB-C device. Highly recommend this adapter for both home and office use!

Good speeds
My older pc only had 1gig and it wasn’t transferring files. This did the job on making it so much faster transferring to my NAS.

No better
I am a pretty big fan of Ugreen (I own their 8 bay nas) but this was a big disappointment. I was using something similar to bring ethernet network (and internet) to a laptop which did not have a RJ45 port. My speeds were poor enough that I decided to replace that with this. I saw no increase is speeds (despite this being usb C and the addition of 5gb up/down internet) and my Mac book (M2) didn't even acknowledge it. It works. I see the lights flashing but offers no performance increase.

Great option in a limited market. Cheap and functional but quirky.
Mostly works great once you load the drivers (make sure you download them from Ugreen). Otherwise you might not get full link speed. I also find that it doesn't always work on boot but if I disconnect it and reconnect it, everything is fine. It probably has a power saving bug or something but it is a minor issue in my use case.

works exactly as advertised
works great and a must for Ugreen NAS. Other reviewers complaining that they do not see an increase in transfer speed have to realize that unless their disks are so fast that the transfer speed is being limited by the internal network interface, they will not see an increase. Plus their cables must be rated for high speed, cat 6 or 8, and the computer they are attaching to, and any switches or routers in the route, must also handle 5 Gbps. You do kind of have to know what you are doing here.

If i have to replace a cable, get an extension or need an adapter of any sorts, i will always get Ugreen. Ugreen seems to be of good quality, and is very decently priced. (Especially during sales :) ) Because of an unstable onboard 2.5gbit adapter, I’ve recently bought this. Got recognized by win 11 instantly, download speed is maxed out from my subscription. Upload speed is all over the place, but that’s always with my subscription. (4Gbps simultaneously subscription, hooked directly to modem with cat7 cable)

Very nice adapter. Great speeds and feels very high quality. No need for installing drivers or anything on my M1 Mac. Had many issues with other brands before but this one have been really solid.

These are chunky units and clearly engineered for reasonable thermal dissipation - which is good. They are faster than expected. I got two, one fro my Legion laptop - plugged into a 10Gbps running Windows. The other end is plugged into a 20Gbps USB-C 3.2 port on my Linux (Debian 13) NAS/SAN server with no switch in between (which is my intended usage for iSCSI disk). No drivers were needed on either computer to get this working. Here iperf3 result from the server end: ----------------------------------------------------------- Server listening on 5201 (test #1) ----------------------------------------------------------- Accepted connection from 10.0.6.3, port 61843 [ 5] local 10.0.6.2 port 5201 connected to 10.0.6.3 port 61844 [ ID] Interval Transfer Bitrate [ 5] 0.00-1.00 sec 560 MBytes 4.70 Gbits/sec [ 5] 1.00-2.00 sec 566 MBytes 4.74 Gbits/sec [ 5] 2.00-3.00 sec 566 MBytes 4.74 Gbits/sec [ 5] 3.00-4.00 sec 566 MBytes 4.74 Gbits/sec [ 5] 4.00-5.00 sec 564 MBytes 4.74 Gbits/sec [ 5] 5.00-6.00 sec 566 MBytes 4.74 Gbits/sec [ 5] 6.00-7.00 sec 565 MBytes 4.74 Gbits/sec [ 5] 7.00-8.00 sec 564 MBytes 4.73 Gbits/sec [ 5] 8.00-9.00 sec 564 MBytes 4.73 Gbits/sec [ 5] 9.00-10.00 sec 565 MBytes 4.74 Gbits/sec [ 5] 10.00-10.01 sec 3.50 MBytes 4.69 Gbits/sec - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Given all the horror stories I read when doing my research, I realize there are quite a lot of people out there who just dont know how to set these up properly.
