Great value for the price.
Works very well, easy to set up and use. Our Pom/ Shitzu mix likes to run and will disappear from time to time. We live in a rural area and GPS works great to find her and tracker her down. App is easy to use and battery has a long life when in home mode. App will alert you when the battery is low. You can set up a Geo fence and the app alerts if the pet exits the safe zone. We tried tokens and the Find My app but it was a disaster. The Tractive gives us peace of mind and keeps her safe. The app has a great health and activity tracker as well. The device will also light up and emit a sound. It was funny as she learned to come home when we activated the sound on the device, so another plus! Even though you have to purchase an additional monthly monitoring plan it is well worth the cost to be able to know where she is.

Fantastic GPS tracking device
The Tractive Smart Dog GPS Tracker works great for our husky. We live in a rural area and the peace of mind the device provides is amazing. We can see where she is on the ranch and easily find her when needed. The app is easy to use and location detection is very accurate. Battery life is efficient and lasts longer than other devices we have tried. We are loving this and very happy with the purchase!

Extra security for an escape artist
A great addition to my dog security. LOL. One of our dogs likes to excaspe when her UG Fence goes off line or the batter dies. This tracker is a back up to be able to finde her quicker. I have had them about 2 weeks and they do some great tracking. I set up a virtual fence so I'll be notifed if either dog leaves. When we go for rides it quickly send a notification to me and my wife of them leaving the fence. The history is awesome to see where they have gone. live tracking is great feature. It takes s bit to get the healt updats to monitor but over all very satisfied. Pricing is great for the monthly subscription and the price for the device is great. warranty coverage is cheap enough to cover the device for the whole time. The battery last great while in the "Power saving zone" also know as your Home WiFi. Charged them last night and they were still at 35%

Very good, except for battery life
Well, after 3 months of daily use i think it’s a good moment to give it a review. First of all it feels sturdy, like a good quality product, i love the app, is very intuitive, i like the live tracking option, though it has a 3-4 min delay when the doggy goes out or enters the “safe zone”. I love that you can see the history of where’s your doggy been, but what i don’t like is that even in the “power saving zone” which is supposedly connected to the wifi, the location doesn’t update as often. The “sound” it makes is not really loud either so i wouldn’t rely on that to find the doggy, the light bar works nicely, the size is appropriate, it doesn’t bother the doggy (mine is a 6 month old german shepherd puppy, rn weighing 27kg), but the battery life… terrible, it supposed to last around “2 weeks” in the power saving zone but it lasts 6 days at max lol, which kinda sucks. I bought the bigger one now, hopefully the battery will last longer. Besides that i think its good for the money, but it would be so much better if they let us pay monthly instead of yearly. I am using it in Paraguay. Ah, and it’s kinda bite proof ig because my doggy tried to chew it for a bit smh! lol

1-YEAR, NON-REFUNDABLE SUB PURCHASE BEFORE TRACKING CAN BE ACTIVATED.
ANOTHER UPDATE: Unlike every other iPhone app that has in-app purchases, Tractive doesn't offer a free trial period. Silly me. I'm so comfortable purchasing from Apple's App Store, I never noticed there's no free trial. In order to connect the app, you give them a credit card #. Fine. Normal. But there's no trial period. Tractive charged $156.00 on day one. When the device turned out to be defective (and the only way to know was to activate the so-called GPS) they're like "HAHA, GOTCHA!!!' I didn't notice the charge on my credit card until a couple of months after I had purchased AND returned AND reported it was utterly useless as a tracker. I disputed the charge. They had the gall to dispute my dispute by saying my credit card was good. They sound like a 5-year-old justifying stealing candy because it was within reach at the checkout lane. They sent the bank a completely irrelevant screenshot of someone's 5-star review (not on Amazon) of a $49 cat collar, saying it was an example of a product description "presented to the cardholder before they completed the transaction. Dig a little and it turns out to be a celebrity endorsement. Had nothing to do with a 12-month subscription that must be paid before the device can be activated. Which is exactly how the App Store works, but the sub can be canceled during a trial period. And of course Amazon has a 30-day return period, even if you don't like the color. But in my case it didn't perform as claimed. Even worse: I went to purchase a Whistle Tracker, which I had several years ago. Great product, great phone service, and month-to-month cellular. Plus their site tracked the dog 24 hours showing the level of activity. (Came in handy when my neighbor accused my dog of barking for hours under his bedroom window, and the Whistle showed she was inside asleep the whole time.) Well, don't buy that either because Tractive has acquired the company. They've no doubt turned it into the same garbage as Tractive. UPDATE: TRACKER SHOWING PET IS IN HOME ZONE. IN ANOTHER NEIGHBORHOOD. SHE IS RIGHT HERE WITH ME. This gadget is worse than useless. I am returning, and purchasing a different brand. I am infuriated. They make a product for protecting pets, but this company doesn't seem to care about pets. My dog was rescued from horrific conditions. I adopted her and have been working hard to keep her safe, trained, well-fed, and treated like a family member. She's my companion and protector and I AM HERS! A week ago she figured out how to escape the gate and went on quite an excursion through the neighborhood. I had an Apple AirTag on her collar, from my deceased 16-year-old dog which was enough. But AirTags don't show in the FindMy app unless it's not moving. AirTags also need to ping off other iPhones. This is a young, strong, very active dog. After chasing her for an hour in 90º heat, I got a call from someone whom she had approached. (Putting one's phone number on the collar in big numbers is the best when you have a pet who never met a stranger. I went straight to Amazon and ordered this tracker. It arrived in about a week. I set it up yesterday. Today, she escaped again. I normally don't review until I have a lot of experience with a purchase. I live on a half acre. Apparently that's too small to create a geofence, Maybe there's a way to alter it. But I was out looking for her while the app was telling me she's safe at home. I spotted her in my next door neighbor's heavily wooded yard. Then the next yard and the next. The homeowner was just getting home and got out of the car to pick up her mail. I yelled. She spotted my dog and spoke in a friendly way, causing the dog to come to her. (Luckily she likes both dogs and humans.) However, this is not what I signed up for. There is no way except email to contact this company. Fine for most electronic gadgets, but unacceptable to find a lost pet who is in danger of getting hit by a car. There is no way to draw a geofence that is accurate and useful. Tractive is well-aware their devices are not reliable. They make their money scamming people. I disputed the charge, since I had returned the item. They disputed my dispute. I've disputed their nonsensical dispute. Update to follow. Also filing a complaint with the App Store.

A solid purchase. You will be extremely pleased!!!
Works as expected! Nice Product. Really like that you can see the amount of charge that the tracker has (within the app) and it also alerts your phone once you've fully charged the tracker. Charge lasts at least 1 week (nice!) on one full charge. It's securely attached to the dog collar, absolutely no issue there (and my dog - boarder collie - plays hard, plays with large groups of dogs for 5 hrs on 5 acre farm land at least 3 times/week. She even swims in a creek. Durability 5 star! Nice size, not to bulky and fits within the width of the dog collar, nothing overhangs and my dog seems to find it completely comfortable. Vital Signs are nicely presented and I find very helpful. I haven't utilized the Virtual Fence so I can't report on that functionality. :-) Only thing I have noticed thus far that I don't appreciate ... It is very challenging to get the little charging flap open to allow USB charging.

Real time GPS tracking. Good app with a modest subscription price.
I have gone through five tracker collars to finally find a good one. I was trying to get by with no subscriptions, and they were ALL bad, mostly due to the very lame apps that were needed. There are no real controls on the device, so the app is king, and this one does not disappoint. You do not have to be in bluetooth or Wi-Fi range like some of the others I tried. I traveled over the holidays to a large, unfenced area and was pleased to find that it works just as well 1,000 miles from home (and my WiFi). What a relief to be able to find my dog at the touch of a button! You can track live within about 20 feet and also view her location history. It shows where she went and how long she stayed in a certain place. It keeps a record of how much she barked and her heart rate. A very useful feature is the sound maker. With a little training, now all I have to do is turn on the sound for a few seconds, and here she comes running back to me. There is also a "radar" which only works within bluetooth range. For me, if I am within bluetooth range of my dog, I do not consider her lost, but you can find which room she is in with it. The tracker was not expensive, and it keeps a charge for about two days. I recommend this if you can handle the subscription cost, which you pay a year at a time.

Super accurate, great design, livesaver for my runaway!!
Great design - not bulky or heavy and fits on a martingale collar (no buckle) as well as reg collar or harness. Had it up and running within 5 min of downloading the app, super easy. Love the virtual fence feature which alerts you when your dog leaves your yard!! my hound is super high energy and needs a lot of outdoor exploring time, but also likes jumping over our fence, so now I get alerts when I need to run outside and chase him down the street. Has saved his life 2x in 2 weeks! (we live not far from a busy street). Battery life is great(6+ days i think) bc it turns off live tracking when it’s in the home zone which is smart. I just got back from tracking down my runaway dog and am so grateful to this device that I sat down right away to write this review!! No issues with GPS coverage, the live tracker has been totally accurate. I had a Fi collar in the past but I like this better, it’s easier , longer lasting battery and doesn’t need the special charge stand, all in all we are super happy.
