These sleeves are perfect for anyone squatting heavy. I've been lifting for years, and my knees feel better during and after a session doing low-bar or front squats than they have in years. The thick neoprene keeps my joints warm and my patella and ligaments in place. I would recommend getting these early on. rather than waiting until poor form or age make them a requirement for your knees.
