Salty Wahine Gourmet Hawaiian Sea Salts, Hawaiian Rub, 2 Ounce

I first discovered kiawe smoked sea salt when I lived in Hawaii, and I immediately knew that I would want to eat it forever. I used top buy it from a boutique shop in Honolulu, but after I moved away it got expensive and then they stopped selling it altogether. I thought I would never get to eat my favorite steak again, but then I found this and I rejoiced! Fantastic taste and cheaper than the stuff I bought in Hawaii, plus I no longer have to pay $15 for shipping. If you want the most delicious steak you have ever had, just rub in a little olive oil and a generous coating of this salt, and you will never want it prepared any other way.

I just found this spice while vacationing over on Kauai, in a small gift shop. Since I do a lot of Indian cooking, I wanted to give it a try. It's basically a blend of turmeric, chilis and other ingredients that PACK A FLAVOR PUNCH! If you can stand some heat, sprinkle it liberally on roasted veggies, meat dishes, soups or sauces. You can always dial it down, but I tend to use a good tsp or more for tossing with a head of cauliflower pieces, which are then roasted. I also put it in soups and other vegetarian dishes to add an interesting kick. I will never ever run out of this spice because it is so unique and flavorful.

My son and daughter in law brought us this from Hawaii. I was so glad when I found out I could order it online! Great flavor on tri tip!

While taste is in the buds of the beholder, this innovative blend of spices is my all-time favorite for a steak rub. For the price, it is definitely worth a try for anyone. Bon appetit!

We love this seasoning! We originally purchased it in Kauai, and needed a refill. It is just the right amount of saltiness and heat. We use it all the time! Especially on eggs!
