Clairol Root Touch-Up Temporary Concealing Powder, Black, Pack of 1

I have tried quite a few touch-up items & this has become my new favorite, by far! It covers & lasts better than any I’ve tried & blends perfectly so it looks natural. I touch-up all those pesky hairline hairs, & not just the roots!

I live this powder. It's perfect for covering the small amount of gray I have, both the solid chunk at my hairline and the ransoms throughout my hair. I dye my naturally medium-dark brown hair a solid black and this powder covers my roots perfectly. My hair is thin and this does a great job of filling in space (especially between colorings) to make my hair look fuller and thicker. It allows me to adjust my hairline to enhance the look of updos. It also makes an excellent brow powder. Its easy to adjust the amount to change the look of my brows. It's durable in its own, but combine it with another brown product like a gel or liquid and it's immoveable.

I have medium brown hair that's dyed black and use this between color visits. I prefer this root cover over others on the market, including the very similar and more expensive version of this product from Sephora. It's much cleaner and easier to use than spray root covers, which are generally a huge mess for black hair. The powder has a VERY light sparkle to it, making it slightly reflective, which I think helps add dimension and looks natural. I experience very little powder fall out on my face/clothes when applying and it barely (if at all) transfers to hands, pillows, etc. I wear over the ear headphones for 6-8 hours a day and haven't noticed any rub off on the headphones, which sit directly on the top of my head, where I heavily apply this product. I try to only wash my hair 1-2 times a week and I've noticed once I apply the product to clean hair, it sticks around for a few days with only minor touchups needed each day before I shower. While I can't attest for whether or not this works on grays, I can say that I recently developed my first gray hair :( and this stuff helps me forget about it until my next wash! Also works great to cover white residue from dry shampoo, which I use a LOT of.

This was super easy to use and perfect for gray roots between color appointments. You apply it like you do eyeshadow, except to your gray roots on completely dry hair. I have dark brown hair and the black blended better than expected. It stayed in for multiple days between washes. Mine did rub off on my pillow cases/hats. It washed out, but I recommend dark sheets or ones you don’t care about too much if you use this.

This product actually works!!! I have a half shaved head and dyed black hair. BUT it leaves behind this weird feeling where you're coving up. Makes my hair feel gross. And if you do touch it, it comes out on your fingers. Have to use baby wipes to get it off.
