the receiver dryer must match the one you are replacing. If it fails to match it will require modification and installation will fail. You should also replace the filter for the system. After all parts replaced you must evacuate system with a vacuum pump. This will at least an hour. It will require special AC gauges to allow correct freon installation and testing.

The white tube is the most common. Best way get correct tube, is to pull the original. But try searching other auto part sites and see what is offered. Make sure to input all pertinate info about vehicle. Hope this helps!

No you should not vary from the factory size. If the system is in good working condition and full of gas it should blow cold. My 2013 s10 has 315k miles on it and still has all the factory ac parts it came with. I do add one small can of pressurized oil to it about once a year and a little gas if needed. What happens to the orifice tube is it traps any debris that might be in the system due to the very small screen which is an indication of impending compressor failure hence the oil once a year. Invariably a little gas will leak out over time through hoses and seals. The new vehicles do a better job of retaining the gas.Hope this helps.
