Perfect for OSCE prep
This book has been extremely useful in helping me prepare for fourth year OSCEs. With the breadth of knowledge required with various medical and surgical specialties, this book conveniently distils suggested frameworks and handy mnemonics into various sections, with examples to test yourself and aid practice OSCEs with friends. Would recommend to all medical students cramming for OSCEs!

You need to work extra hard with OSCE prep and with the right help!
OSCEs is something every med student is worried about. Taking a good n focused history in a short amount of time is challenging. This book advises you on a framework which you could lean back on when you are battling against adrenaline during exam conditions. Importantly, it provides useful tips on how to present your findings, shows you the marking criteria, what investigations you should consider (a question that 100% comes up in every OSCE), and what your differentials are. Supplement your revision with this book and other handy guides out there, top them up with practice.

Clear structure, good for general medicine but needs more from specialties
Covers a decent range of conditions in general medicine with a clear structure. Needs more presenting complaints from specialties.

All you need in one place
I was really overwhelmed when I started preparing for my OSCEs. It's something that I'd never done before so was really nervous about doing it. What worried me the most was the shear amount of scenarios we could be tested on- anything from taking a cardiovascular history to taking bloods and performing examinations. This book is really good at preparing you for all the possible history taking scenarios and taking you through them step by step. When you really think about OSCEs can feel scary: we're all used to doing written exams but walking into a random room with a stranger is such a different experience. I would highly recommend this book because it helped reduce my anxiety and uncertainty about my OSCEs.
