The pump has 3 wires, black, red, blue, which wire goes to the + and which wire goes to the - ?, i want to connect to a battery as n when needed

Black wire is - Red wire is + but you need to connect via additional switch on-off otherwise it will run continuously Blue wire is + and pump will run automatically when water level increase as well it will stop once water is pumped out

Does this need a inline fuse or can it be connected directly to the batttey ?

According to boat safety you can connect to the battery but you do need an inline fuse

Can I get an extension to the cable about 5 metres.

They are just wires like any other, I soldered an ordinary cable and it works well, in fact this pump is very highly recommended..
