Worth the extra money cause this one works
There is a look-alike on the market which is a few dollars cheaper but instructions are terrible and pieces did not fit - never worked. For a few dollars more this one comes with detailed clear instructions and the all the pieces fit well. Spend the few dollars and get this model and you will be happier

Fantastic Product
This is an excellent model for anyone, not just children, to enjoy putting together. Takes maybe 10 minutes to put together, and maybe another 5-10 minutes to get running true and accurate (bell hammer alignment). Will definitely purchase more in the future for gifts. It is a great STEM learning project for kids. Highly recommend buying it.

Cute & Educational
Great toy that my great grandson loved at first sight. He sat right down and worked on putting it together. He just turned 4. Would recommend.

Fun project for kids, but doesn't work.
It was fun to build this with my son. Unfortunately, it doesn't work because the escapement has too much resistance and doesn't put enough energy into the pendulum. The fitment of the pendulum is so poor that I thought the stool was defective. It isn't, the pendulum is just that loose. The crank placement is very poor and interferes with the pendulum too easily. Very disappointing. Also covered in some kind of mineral oil. Gross.

Tiny Instructions + cheap plastic = Loud Ticking Visual Aid
The clock is a great idea, but the first one I received did not work. I believed it was the spring, but after double checking the gears that came pre-installed straight from the box, I noticed one was placed upside down. I didn't originally touch the gears already on the pegs because I assumed they were placed correctly by the manufacturer. However, after putting the replacement clock together (mostly by memory [it's pretty easy]), I had to take it apart to flip the white gear. A few notes:Be sure to have a magnifying glass handy to view enlarged instructions.Double check even the gears that are placed prior to unpacking.Beware, the ticking is LOUD and fast. The length of the pendulum is adjustable, but it extends further than the base of the clock. I may need to put a small weight on the circle and shorten the length back to a more appropriate height to correct the timing. The green peg/cap on the front tends to fall out easily, but a little glue or tape might help there. The plastic cover also seems a bit fragile when pressure is applied, and I'm concerned it will break. However, with a bit of colored hot glue (maybe with glitter in it for fun) I believe it may actually be a great learning tool.My 4yo certainly enjoyed seeing it come together and work for the first time. I doubt she's ever seen the inner workings of spring-operated gears. With her aptitude for puzzles, and curiosity to take things apart, I am ultimately glad for the purchase... Though I will have to come up with a way to dial down the ticking!

Really Fun
The six year old I bought this for was obsessed with this clock. He took it to show and tell at school and they were all obsessed with it. It broke pretty quickly, mainly because he refused to be without it. It's not sturdy but its a plastic clock.

Fun build and works, sort of
The media could not be loaded. Easy to build, and while the instructions are well laid out and printed, the photos are all the same and don't show close-ups where needed. There is also too much slop in the escapement mechanism (the most delicate part) and it can take quite some fiddling to get it to actually run otherwise it just jams the entire gear train.Makes a lovely loud tick-tock, tick-tock noise when running.

The clock was a Christmas gift
The clock was a Christmas gift intended as a "fun puzzle" for a "middle- aged" pal during the Seasonal period; purchased by me in the past for my grandchildren I think it makes an unique gift for anyone between the ages from 5/7 up to 80/90 years old.
