Franklin Brass B34865K-FB-C Pilltop Coat and Hat Wall Hooks in Matte Black (5-Pack)

Made this coat rack to hold most of my coats, riding gear, helmets, etc I used 3/4in x2-1/2in finish pine trim. I used Tee nuts and 3/4in beveled coarse screws to attach to wood. I Dadoed out approx 1/8 off back to make space for teenuts. I would not trust the 1/2inch screws if you load hooks like this. Hung on studs and added drywall toggle bolts on the ends because I was between studs. It holds very well and I like the look. The pronounced pilltop shape is great for motorcycle helmets as you can see. basically 6 inch spacing. I set my end space for first and last hook and split difference for the remaining 8 hooks. I had a older ikea 5 hook that was overloaded and I lack closets in my living space.

These are very sturdy and way cheaper than buying separately in a big box hardware store. my drill slipped and I accidentally nicked the hook and the finish cracked off. Nothing a little sharpie couldn’t fix though. That’s my bad, not the product. Just giving a head’s up. Screws worked fine for initial install but probably wouldn’t be ok to reuse.

The matte finish is nice and they’re easy to install, but they may not arrive in perfect condition. In my five pack, one hook was chipped, one hook is noticeably bent to the left, and several of the screws look used…
