While it is a very casual look, it still is more than just another black "tennis shoe". It has a distinct heel, and a classic leather pattern. It has a slight shine when polished, but watch out that you don't polish the brand label. The shoe will stay comfortable whether I spend my day standing or at a desk doing work. It is a good shoe for those who have need of medium support. It's not so much support as to make shoe uncomfortable. I have tried both brown and black and they both look great. I have not tried the new-buck, but I am thinking about it! They may be on the expensive side for younger shoppers, but experienced shoppers know that quality makes all the difference. You're not just buying a name; you are buying quality!

I bought these shoes for an upcoming trip where I will do a lot of walking. Two of my friends separately recommended this brand and I bought the shoes a couple of weeks ago. They are extremely comfortable and lightweight and I am glad I bought them. They are comfortable and can be worn for walking That is for long walks and I am guessing moderate Heights. They also can be worn to the office with a blazer and wore slacks – as I have done. I used the fit chart and it worked well.

Size 9.5 M is like size 10 XW. Check the pictures.I ordered size 9M to try again.Nice leather, soft and comfortable shoe. When I opened the box it smelled leather.

Mephisto Equals QualityThird pair of Mephisto's. Finest shoe on the market. Can't believe that their standard shoe fits my 3E feet. They are a lifetime shoe. I am getting a 12 year pair resoled.

Although the fit initially seemed satisfactory, I never feel completely comfortable with these shoes - I missed the immediate sense of "I could wear these anywhere" that I experienced with my other Mephistos. I returned them without hassle.

The title "rain shoe" is accurate. These shoes are great in the rain, as well as being comfortable walking shoes. I suggest walking in them for a few days before going on a long walk (of a mile or so) to get them adjusted to the exact shape of your feet. After an initial adjustment, they are a great fit. They clean easily with water and a cloth.

These are my second pair, these in black, the other in brown.What's not to like? These are particularly good for me, as I cannot wear narrow-toe shoes.
