Picked this up on Amazon Haul. Essentially paid $6.00 for it and it’s been a truly a worthy buy. Sometimes connects a bit slow but still connects every time I get in or out of the car. Setup was simple and device fit easily in my console. Nice not to need the physical cable to connect to Apple CarPlay.

I’ve had two of these now. First one died after a month. Second one lasted longer (5 months) and now I have no sound at all through it. I have to reset it about every 4-5 times I turn the car on which is annoying. Still feel like I got my money’s worth since it is super convenient when it is working, but I hate stuff that dies after just a few months of use.

Good way to go wireless in a car. I have a Mazda that has CarPlay, but it is wired. With the Graywater CarPlay adapter, I plug it into the USB port and connect my phone to it via Bluetooth, and I am good to go, with no wire snaking from the console to the phone. Only downside is that occasionally the phone loses its connection to the adapter. Not sure if that is the phone or the adapter's fault. I go into Bluetooth and reconnect the adapter, and all is good. But not something I want to do while driving, as I have to take my eyes off the road.

Item glitches like crazy. I normally do not write reviews but seeing that this item is rated 5 stars and glitches to the point where for a 25 minute car ride I was only able to listen to one song that kept cutting in and out the whole time while my screen kept going black. Not worth it at all, will be returning.

I am coming from a Carlinkit 4, and before that a Carlinkit 3 and an Ottocast. All of these would establish the connection maybe 60% of the time. I would have to unplug/plug the unit, and or restart the head unit. Been frustrated with this for years. I have a 2020 RAV4h Limited. This much cheaper device connects 100% of the time. What a difference! It is not perfect. While it does connect every time, it then starts CarPlay running about 80% of the time right away. About 10% of the time it starts CarPlay about several minutes, and the remaining 10% of the time, it does not start up CarPlay. When this happens, just tap CarPlay on the main screen and CarPlay starts right up. I can live with this, and maybe a future firmware update will fix it?
