Ford Explorer armrest Console Replacement Cover - Medium Prairie Tan (1997-05)

The product itself was a pretty good match for a worn 2002 Interior. The material to me was softer and seemed nicer than what my old torn cover. The only issue was the old cover had more material cut but overall the new piece fit. I did not have an issue getting staples in but I did have issues with the cover cracking as you had to staple close to the edges of the console. The instructions provided were very good and added one piece of information which could have been shared in the product advertisement for everyone to see before buying this product, which was that some frames are already cracked from use, and mine did have a crack but it was still holding together. However, my frame cracked more as I had to staple close to the outer edges, and when it cracks, it crumbles and does not hold the staples anymore. Possibly my plastic was brittle from old age. It still look ok because it was the two back corners and not the front which crumbled. Maybe it was my staples I used, which were not 8mm, not 6mm.

This product was cut to the exact spec. Well above average instructions, the only slight disappointment was color for said vehicle ( 99 explorer-eddie bourer) med prairie tan didn't come close to a match. I even pulled my org. Window sticker from when it was bought new for int. Color,(med PR.-tan). But sadly the new cover is not my med PR. Tan. O-well it is a quality product at a very reasonable price, so it will survice for now I made copy of the vinyl before the install i'am happy. You I'm sure will be too. Thanks Bill in W.V.

It was probably naive of me but I was expecting something a little different, a little more user friendly. I have it on my things to do list (unscrewing the armrest, unscrewing and removing the old pad, stapling in this replacement...) and it is certainly doable, just was hoping for something that was bing bang, done.Update: Finally got around to doing this and it was pretty easy. Thanks for putting the youtube link up. Saw that and realized I could do it pretty quick. Good staples is a key though. Maybe you should include those. Thanks. Moved it to 4 stars.

Good product, but came with the foam missing. The package was torn open when it was received. We got replacement foam at the store.The post office wasn't interested in our complaint as the item wasn't worht much money.

If I was to do it again would opt for the set with extra foam and Staples. T50's were a lil big for puncturing the plastic. Instructions were detailed and easy to follow.

Armrest cover on console is a perfect fit. Quality is good as well. Six choices of color. Your white tag on door inside frame will give you your correct selection. If you received wrong color DO NOT INSTALL,contact SELLER for more information on returns. They will work with you to make it right.

Material was a very close match with the original interior.The width of the material was a little short but manageable.Good product for the cost.

Great color match and the material quality was as good as new. Fit was good, but I could not get staples thru the plastiic. I ended up using tape and used the backing and screws to hold the material in. I live in FL and perhaps the heat changed the plastic, Even with my Craftsman brand staple gun, i could not penetrate the plastic.
