On the plus side, these lights look nice and are a pretty good value. Surprisingly, the rippled glass was real glass. Considerately, they included several adapter pieces to make them able to fit on various size posts. All of the lights installed have worked great so far, except for one that is always in shade under a fruit tree (not the light's fault).On the negative side, they did not fit our 5x5 vinyl posts, leaving a 3/16" gap on all four sides. Since they come in only two colors (black, white) they don't match our light beige posts so we're actually hoping they discolor over time. Finally, they don't provide as much light as I hoped. Although the rippled glass looked nice, they cause uneven light distribution and don't light the path as well. Along with the bottom of the light fixture physically blocking the light and the fact that they're mounted seven feet above grade, there's a big shadow along the walking path.Overall, we're happy to have them as they're better than nothing but the performance in our particular situation falls short of what I was hoping. I believe they would work much better if they could be mounted closer to grade but that is not an option for us. (NOTE: I'll try to take photos and update this review when I add them.)

3rd update: these lights had been lasting from 1.5-2 years before they fail by not illuminating or being very dim. Replacement of the LEDs with some 1w replacements along with cleaning the battery terminals and applying terminal grease does the trick.This is an updated review after owning these lights for 3 years and having them on Trex Fire Pit (brownish) color endposts.These lights are great but will fade from Brown to Black due to UV exposure and eventually will stop working after 3 years.The batteries are regular AA rechargable that were refreshed with a computerized battery charging unit once a year.You could replace the batteries that came with it with some higher quality ones and prob get more battery life and light out them.In order to install them on the Trex post caps and make them removeable without damage use a hot glue gun and some metal covered wire.The lights come with two different sized end caps 4x4 and 6x6. The bigger 6x6 ones will work perfect for the top end cap.Add some hot glue to the corner, push the black mounting frame onto the cap and add some more hot glue.The glue will not discolor the caps and is removeable. Lights look stock when installed this way.Good luck.

I purchased these light last summer,. I have a PVC railing and had to use some real tough elbow grease to install all 24 lights. Installing the light wasn’t the issue.....connecting to the PVC posts was the hard part. I HAD to use a drill and I did not have a pilot bit. I’ve been using solar lights for years and I am finally happy with this product. I have a lot of wind during the year and these lights have a lid that twists and locks into place...no lids flying off! Although they are safely closed, they are not airtight so, I strongly suggest that you maintain them with a quick cleaning with a little glass cleaner. I just did that and they really needed it! I expect that my lights will be much brighter tonight. I also like that the cell coverings are flat with the lid so that snow just melts off the sides. My old solar light cells (not this brand) were indented and snow would sit in it and I think ruined the cells. I suggested them to my sister this summer and will say that the price when I purchased them (pre COVID) was much less than they are priced now. That’s why I gave the price 4 stars. I also like the black against the white railing because my last 2 sets, white, (again, not this brand) turned yellow.

I love any solar lightings I get from green lighting. They are beautiful.

I bought 2 of these 3 years ago. After 2 years, they turned a dirty tan color due to sun exposure. I really like the design, brightness, ease of installation, etc, so I am giving them one more chance. I hope these don't turn color again! If they don't, it's 5 stars accross the board!

Installed 18 solar light post caps so far. Lights are not too bright, not too dim. Illuminates our fence handsomely. We live in area with lots of rain and really like that the solar panels are on the sides so that water won’t pool on a flat top solar panel. We suspect this will extend their useful life. Nice brown color that will match our fence after we’ve stained it. We go out each evening to watch them turn on. Nice that they’re available in different package quantities. Shipped quickly. I was worried about potential shipping damage but they were each packed in good molded packaging and thick cardboard.

Sold in lots of four, fully assembled, easy to install and includes frames to easily fit 4” or 5 inch posts. Gives a nice amount of light and complete with battery. Great value!!!

I have bought these twice now. I thought maybe my first set was bad. Second set eventually stopped working next summer even after I changed the battery. Don’t buy them unless you only need them for a year. Try some other lights out.They are all out now. Don’t buy these.

Having bought similar a while ago which didn't work (different supplier) I was pleased to see that these did. It's good that the bottom is sealed so no water ingress and the top twists round for access to battery. Well pleased
