Weber Q 1000 Gas Grill (Titanium)

After having used different coal fired Grill / Barbecue for about 10 years now, I was a bit sceptical about using a Gas based Grill.The Weber Q1000 Gas Grill is an excellent choice.Why i like it:1. Less fuss, lights up and heats up in less than 10 minutes, compared to the almost 45 - 60 minutes for a coal based grill.2. No having to move arounds the charcoal to redistribute the heat.3. No problem of burnt food, since the heat can be accurately controlled.4. The cast Iron cooking grate retains heat for longer, reducing gas consumption.5. Did not need to purchase the 5kg portable cylinder. Am using the regular domestic LPG 14.2 kg cylinder with the domestic Gas Regulator.6. Need to use the portable 5 kg cylinder ONLY if using in portable mode.7. Easy assembly. Assembled the unit in 20 minutes flat.8. For the drip tray, you can easily use the rectangular aluminium foil packing trays easily available at many supermarkets, instead of buying expensive Weber accessories for the drip tray.9. Reviewing only after I've cooked on it eight times already.10. Easy to clean, maintain.What I don't like about it:1. What I did not like is that the stand needs to be purchased separately, and then too cannot accommodate the Indian domestic gas cylinder.2. Thankfully, checked and found that the Weber stand does not accommodate the Indian domestic gas cylinder. Did not spend an unnecessary 13k on the stand.Safety First:1. Do remember to keep the gas cylinder as far away from the grill as possible to prevent the cylinder from heating up.2. If possible, use a non-combustible partition between the grill and the gas cylinder. A fire resistant plank of wood or glass is good enough.3. ONLY use outdoors, such as in an open balcony / terrace / garden.4. Do NOT operate when drowsy / sleepy / tipsy. Cannot stress this enough. Do NOT operate when under the influence.5. Respect cooking gas, like you would respect a turbulent ocean.6. This product is ONLY for domestic use.

Nothing like it.. its Weber, easy installation and cooking made easy. Best about this is so compact and you can fix a home cylinder. One drawback I would say, heat can't be reduced after a level and so slow cooking is not possible.

Be prepared to have to do some work to get this thing to work properly -not impressive at all - when you buy a bbq it should come with everything you need to make it work - otherwise - what's the point? Also - I'm not impressed with the heat generated - I would not buy this agian

Very bad quality. Only half the stuff were there. Everything was scratched.

Temperature constraint.

I am a passionate griller, I wanted to buy a good grill, but my busy schedule doesn't let me enjoy a charcoal grill as it takes some time to light and so on, I came across this weber Q gas grill through a friend and I bought it after doing my homework, it seems to be a good one, easy to light, storage is no problem, its an all weather grill, I have had few parties with my friends and family, really enjoyed the food that, i wish it came with a stand nevertheless I place it on a table in my balcony and enjoy.

This is the most convenient barbecue grill ever. No more mess and stress of lighting charcoal. The grill is fired with just a click of a button. I connected my domestic cylinder and regulator to the grill and started it, within 5 minutes grill was hot and ready. It is portable and can be used as table top in balcony / garden / terrace. After a long day at work the grill is 'No Brainer' and cooks awesome grilled food. the food is crispy and juicy, tried chicken, burger, patty, naan and many more. One time investment but worth it. Hosted a barbecue party around this grill and guests were amused looking the compact grill and super tasting food it cooks. Much better than the cheap electric open grills which doesn't even last for a taste is pathetic.. dont fall in trap of cheap stuff

i purchased this from market. it is a fantastic grill, simply press the button and its ready in 5 mins. we did smoking hot food on this grill. everyone loved the party. small 5 kg LPG cylinder connected in a snap.
