Perfect keepsake
We used the Luna Bean Baby Footprint and Hand Cast together for our baby, and it was such a meaningful experience. The kit was easy to use, and the details came out beautifully. You can see every tiny line in the hand and foot prints. The materials felt solid and high quality, and once it set, it looked like a professional keepsake. It’s made of plaster but durable. It hasn’t cracked or degraded and still looks great on display. More than anything, it’s something we’ll always cherish as a memory from when our baby was so small. If you’re looking for a way to capture those early moments and create something truly special, this kit is absolutely worth it.

Easy to use
Watch the video beforehand makes it very easy to use! Works great but make sure your baby is calm and not moving too much, that’s the hardest part haha. Comes out super cute, it’s also easy to wash off baby if there’s residue left.

Excellent, unforgettable new baby gift. The cast lasts forever while preserving the memories in 3D.
I have given this gift many times over the past few decades (probably different venders) and have never been disappointed. I first became aware these kits existed 33 yrs ago when I did a hand and foot on my daughter and they still look great! It's a can't miss, oftentimes one-of-a kind, special shower gift. My daughter was the recipient of this one for the upcoming arrival of her second baby. Can't wait!

Hard to do with 1 month old. Fun concept
Pro tip !! Make sure your baby is in deep sleep and have a bottle ready in case they get woken up! Super hard to do this with our 1 month old. She got super mad when we put her hand in the mold. We wasted 2 of the 4. We got 1 mold done and it came out ok. The tops of the toes had air bubbles in it :/ I did tap it and tipped as much as I could. We have one more shot with the 4th. Love the concept. Just hard to do with the really little ones.

Ordered the same kit 3 TIMES!
This kit is so amazing and easy to use, that we decided to do hand and foot casting for my daughter every month! Super easy instructions to follow and comes with everything you need. Even the paint is included!

I did three of these in one night, and have a few tips for ya: 1. The first mix sets REALLY fast. We ended up having to chuck the first cup because it got chunky while we were still mixing. Mix faster than you think you need to, tap it on the counter a few times to disperse bubbles, and get that baby's hand/foot in there quick! 2. Set about a tablespoon of the casting powder aside for later. 3. Once the hand/foot has been taken out, mix the casting powder almost as fast, tap it on the counter a little bit harder, and then pour it slowly and smoothly to avoid bubbles in the cast. 4. Leave it overnight. Five hours was not enough, it was still very damp and fingers broke off very easily. I ended up putting them in a huge bowl of rice for a day (I'm in florida, so maybe we can blame the humidity - I'm not sure) 5. Once its dry, youll have to use the sandpaper to smooth lots of things out - between the fingers, bumps, etc. I also ended up using a few nail files and a dremel. 6. If you have tiny bubbles on the surface, mix the rest of the casting powder and use a tiny brush to fill them. They will still need to be lightly sanded after they dry. 7. If you are doing multiple kids, be really careful that they are put into the first mixture at the same angle and to close to the same amount of depth on the back of their hand/wrist. One kid put their hand in about and inch and a half deeper than the other two, and it took me forever to get it sanded down to the same size (i put them in a shadow box, so i should have throught about that beforehand!) The bottom is what came out, and the top was my end result after the extra work. Bad pictures, but a really awesome gift!!

Hard to get a full cast with little new borns.
These did not work well on our newborn. First try we followed instructions to a T and the sculpture came out with no fingers so we tried again and mixed it thinner. It worked a little better but I still have to reconstruct multiple fingers then didn’t have enough material for the feet because we had to do the hands twice. Probably better kits out there.

BE AWARE DRYS FAST AFTER MIXING
While mixing with the family, thinking we bad a moment or two after to prepare baby. NOPE Went to stick our baby's hand in the mix and it was already DRY! Wasn’t able to get the hand but boy was we ready for the foot! right after mixing stuck her foot in and it was quick and easy! fast enough before baby could start fussing. No hand but my parents LOVE their baby foot mold!! Best Christmas gift ever!
