Review: Absolute necessity as a plumber. - I'm a licensed plumber who does a lot of product testing, worked with a lot of different brands on a professional level, and this is by far my favorite variation of water pump pliers or channel locks. The grip is fantastic, the narrow jaws fit where most will not, the jaws stay sharp for longer, the one handed usability is fantastic, they're simply the best. I used them to hold a copper fitting I needed to reuse while I torched it to melt the solder, didn't ruin the temper. I can't advocate these enough, thanks knipex Review: What pliers should be - I've had pliers and more pliers over the years, but finally decided to spend the extra bucks on the Knipex Cobra. Whatever the steel is used in the teeth is unbelievably strong. They bite into anything! Absolutely no slippage once you get something in the jaws. And the precision of the jaws aligning (especially the very tip of the pincers) is flawless. I can't speak to longevity, but I know that Knipex has a reputation of making tools that last and last. Absolutely worth the extra few dollars. ## Features - 25 adjustment positions at the touch of a button directly on the workpiece - Up to 2" maximum jaw capacity grips variety of shape and sizes for broader application coverage - Self-locking on pipes and nuts: no slipping on the work piece and low hand force required - Gripping surfaces with special hardened teeth (61 HRC) - Box-joint design: high stability because of the double guide, pinch guard prevents operators' fingers from being pinched ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000X4PU80 | | Best Sellers Rank | #16,970 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #12 in Tongue-and-Groove Pliers | | Brand | KNIPEX | | Brand Name | KNIPEX | | Color | Red, Blue | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 1,273 Reviews | | Cutting width | 2 inches | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00843221002091 | | Grip Type | Multi-component | | Handle Material | KNIPEXTEND comfort handle | | Included Components | Knipex - 87 02 250 #2 | | Item Dimensions L x W | 10"L x 2.15"W | | Item Type Name | Knipex - 87 02 250 #2 | | Item Weight | 13.12 ounces | | Manufacturer | Knipex Tools | | Manufacturer Part Number | 87 02 250 | | Material | Chromium-Vanadium Steel | | Material Type | Chromium-Vanadium Steel | | Model Number | 87 02 250 | | Product Dimensions | 10"L x 2.15"W | | Specific Uses For Product | Gripping | | UPC | 843221002091 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** KNIPEX - **Color:** Red, Blue - **Cutting Width:** 2 inches - **Grip Type:** Multi-component - **Handle Material:** Comfort grip - **Item Weight:** 13.12 ounces - **Material:** Chromium-Vanadium Steel - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Product Dimensions:** 10"L x 2.15"W - **Specific Uses For Product:** Gripping ## Images ![87 02 250 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51UYC3QDWHL.jpg) ![87 02 250 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41c0SbwZlGL.jpg) ![87 02 250 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41EzGJJO4HL.jpg) ![87 02 250 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71DZ6361mrL.jpg) ![87 02 250 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61v+dlWyPVL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute necessity as a plumber. *by J***B on April 7, 2025* I'm a licensed plumber who does a lot of product testing, worked with a lot of different brands on a professional level, and this is by far my favorite variation of water pump pliers or channel locks.
